Quote from ambermelody on February 5, 2025, 4:12 pmyeah its totally normal. i lift heavy twice a week out here and my quads are trash for two days straight. cant even climb the stairs to get up without groaning. just keep moving a little bit. drinking water helps too. if it burns too bad try some heat. don't expect to walk normal tomorrow though. just tough it out.

Quote from Isabella1993 on June 20, 2026, 3:30 ammy knees are wrecked too especially after long services. i usually ice them right after and take a couple ibuprofen. being an athlete doesnt protect me from aging joints lol. seriously though just rest them and don't push it the next day. i learned that the hard way.

Quote from Nora1995 on October 19, 2025, 10:50 amhonestly just keep it stupid simple. Ngl, military life is stressful enough without trying to figure out a ten, step routine. i stick to ceraface cleanser, moisturizer, and spf 50. thats it. if my skin looks trash i just sleep it off. stop overthinking it. complicated routines are a trap. consistency beats intensity every time. just wash your face and slather on sunscreen. really.

Quote from Petalwhisper on October 19, 2025, 10:50 amNot weird at all. I miss making his coffee and folding his shirts way more than I miss the actual relationship. The drama was exhausting. The routine was peaceful. I still wake up reaching for the iron sometimes. It’s just quieter now. I’m learning to be okay with my own company instead of filling the space with someone else’s nonsense. It takes time but the calm is worth it.

Quote from leafpool on April 20, 2026, 7:05 amSame here basically. Just moved for my husbands deployment this month. Doc says labs are perfect but i am dragging all day. I ended up checking my iron and vits too. Low iron was part of it. Also just standard military life burnout. Try adding straight iron supplements if you havent. Helps a bit at least until we settle in new base housing. Good luck

Quote from Sunny1989 on July 31, 2026, 6:28 pmi tell him if he wants it done his way he do it himself. we sit down and split chores right down the middle. no thank yous just duty. if i cook he cleans. if i fold he loads laundry. stop treating him like a guest. he lives here too. my tribal ways teach balance so i enforce it. if he complains i let him complain while i relax. his loss.

Quote from Homemaker1974 on September 27, 2025, 12:22 amfr that sounds exhausting. i had a phase like that too but refused to sit in the discomfort. started leaving notes on the counter just stating what i needed that night straight up. took the pressure off having a convo but still communicated my needs. if he still wont talk then u gotta decide if u wanna stay lonely or find intimacy elsewhere. my husband had to step up quick or i was out.

Lol, here we do lo mismo, shower mandatory after work or gym. otherwise im not sharing my sheets with sweaty random man. seriously consider sleeping in the couch until he learns basic hygiene. no thanks to the funk.

Quote from happy1969 on August 6, 2026, 12:59 pmHonestly same. I gave up on all the fancy plans. Just walk after dinner with my husband and do squats while watching TV in Arabic. No gym, no protein shakes, no counting calories. My back hurts less and that is enough. We immigrants have enough stress without worrying about core strength tips. Keep it simple or go crazy.
