trying to keep up with my kids on the playground is exhausting
Quote from FreeGlow on August 23, 2026, 12:00 amMy grandmomma always said yawning isnt just tiredness. Sometimes its your spirit trying to breathe or stretch when your mind is stuck. I do a quick breath prayer when this happens. Just three deep breaths in through the nose out through the mouth. Helps me ground back to earth. If sleep isnt fixing it maybe it isnt about the body. Check in with whats heavy on your heart today.

Quote from danielle1997 on May 24, 2025, 10:42 amI get it. At 47, i assumed sleep was free but it really ain’t. I cut coffee after 10am and started taking magnesium before bed. Also checking my iron levels. Sometimes it’s just bad habits. Try going to bed 30 mins earlier and no phone in bed. Just straight sleep.

Quote from Calmwaters1994 on January 11, 2025, 2:17 pmnever had time to be stressed after first kid too. 3 kids is just chaos but you get used to it. I just keep a big whiteboard in kitchen for daily tasks and let husband handle bedtime sometimes. my brain feels full all the time but honestly its better than before. just survive each day. dont worry about being perfect.

Quote from Rebecca1985 on May 24, 2026, 7:05 amArre listen, coding means sitting like statue. That is why gas stuck. I also face same problem when I work on laptop for hours. First thing, drink hot water with lemon every morning. And eat more salad, no plain rice only. Walk for 10 mins every 2 hours. My husband also suffer from this. He started doing yoga stretch in evening. It helps very much. Try it.

Quote from carolyn1966 on August 8, 2025, 3:32 amHonestly yes. Honestly, I immigrated here ten years ago and still hate treadmills. My wife makes me do 30 mins but I look forward to it like going to dentist. After 20 mins my legs are jelly. Maybe try walking on incline first. Or just walk outside in neighborhood. Less boring anyway. We are all tired from life already dont push too hard.

Quote from Homemaker1988 on August 8, 2025, 3:32 amBabe take the nap. Seriously. My husband wants round two daily and I’m over it. I just tell him I’m dead to the world. We compromise on weekends. Rest is sacred at my age. If he’s mad he can sleep on the couch. Your energy is limited so spend it on yourself. Don’t feel guilty.

Quote from Stargazer1983 on August 22, 2026, 10:22 pmHonestly same here. Ngl, My guy works long hours too and comes home completely drained. I learned to just not make it a big deal. Sometimes we cuddle and call it a day. Other times he showers and we try later when hes a bit more rested. Just accept it and focus on other ways to connect like cooks dinner together or watching a show. No pressure is key for us.

Quote from GoldenSong on March 21, 2026, 5:27 pmI just go to the shed and sit for ten minutes. Doesn’t matter if it’s hot or cold, I need that silence. My husband stops by to yell at me about chores sometimes but I just ignore him till he leaves. Tells him if he wants peace, he needs to mind his own business. We’re in a small house so boundaries are tough but I don’t let him make me feel crazy for needing a break.
