trying to keep up with my kids on the playground is exhausting
Quote from Mapleflute on August 18, 2026, 6:14 amDear girl let me tell you something i been doing this same thing since my children started school. Ngl, I just keep my extra sweater in the car and drink tons of tea. My husband always says i catch colds like crazy. Just rest up dear. Dont push yourself too hard. I learned that the hard way years ago. Sending you big hugs.

Quote from amberglow on June 6, 2025, 8:16 pmi finally stopped forcing myself to go. honestly, i just read on my couch now. saves me thirty bucks a month and i dont have to pretend to enjoy cardio. my hips are bigger but my eyesight is worse from staring at screens anyway. whatever. peace of mind costs less than a gym membership these days.

Quote from melissa1968 on February 28, 2026, 12:07 pmyeah it’s definitely worse. i’m 29 and the dating apps feel like a part time job i hate. half the guys here in chicago are either looking for a hookup or still acting like they’re in college. the other half are married but won’t admit it. i’m tired of explaining that having a career and boundaries doesn’t mean i’m high maintenance. honestly i’d rather just stay in and order pad thai. the ratio of decent men to available women feels completely off right now and i’m over pretending otherwise.

Quote from jadehawk on September 6, 2025, 8:54 pmnah i would just tell her straight up. tell her its not our culture or tradition here. we don't do that kind of stuff in the house. its confusing for my kids too. just say no politely but firmly. dont let her push it. keep the space yours. if she keeps it up ask her to do it at her place or temple. boundary setting is key fam.
