need snack ideas stat
Quote from Ridgedelta on October 5, 2019, 1:04 amok, so i just got back from target, spent like 200 dollars and i have zero things. the kids ate all the goldfish crackers before we even left the parking lot. it's 6pm, i still have to make dinner, and my husband is apparently "working late" which means he's watching tv in the other room. i'm so tired. i need something easy for them to munch on while i try to figure out what to cook that isn't just pasta again. any ideas that don't involve a lot of dishes?

Quote from Rebecca1996 on October 7, 2019, 5:17 pm@Ridgedelta Oh gosh, that sounds so familiar! Kids eating snacks before you even get home is a classic. Maybe try some apple slices with peanut butter for them? Quick and usually a crowd-pleaser.

Quote from Pinelichen on October 9, 2019, 8:41 amI feel you, @Ridgedelta. The Target snack-fail is real. Have you tried those little pretzel packs? They're usually pretty good at hiding in the pantry for a bit.

Quote from goldenhour1979 on October 11, 2019, 8:32 pmUgh, the goldfish cracker vanishing act! My son does that. For a quick fix, I sometimes just do some cheese sticks and grapes. It’s fast and they don’t usually inhale it.

Quote from PinkTide on October 14, 2019, 1:14 am@Ridgedelta, that’s the worst! I swear my kids have a sixth sense for when I buy snacks. Maybe some string cheese or those little fruit cups? They're pretty easy to grab and go.

Quote from Warm2005 on October 16, 2019, 1:37 pm@Ridgedelta I totally get the Target snack situation! My kids do the same thing. Those little pretzel packs are a good idea, I'll have to remember those for next time. My pantry is always a mess.

Quote from Betty1966 on October 17, 2019, 9:42 amString cheese and fruit cups sound super easy, @Ridgedelta. I'm always looking for things that don't require much prep, especially after a grocery run. My fridge is a disaster zone right now.
