my husband wants to have sex every night and i just want to sleep
Quote from Beth1967 on May 10, 2026, 2:42 pmomg same. just sit cross legged on a folded blanket instead of floor. keeps hips higher so less pressure on tailbone. i use old yoga mats cut up as extra cushions too. dont force posture if pain is there. just breathe and let body find comfort wherever that is today. sometimes less is more tbh.

Quote from Madison1999 on February 15, 2025, 1:36 pmSame. I feel like I’m running on fumes mostly. I’ve started drinking way more water and forcing myself to put my phone away an hour before bed. It helps a bit but honestly I think it’s just burnout from work and life in general. I’m not even that old yet but I definitely feel it in my bones lol.

Quote from warm1993 on August 28, 2025, 2:48 amive moved every 18 months for work and yeah it kills the vibe. hard to build intimacy when you are busy unpacking boxes or sleeping on an air mattress. my partner and i just stopped trying to plan dates during the first year in a new city. we just ordered takeout and watched movies until things settled down. now we wait until lease renews to start dating again

Quote from SweetWren on June 14, 2026, 11:59 pmman i feel this so hard. my partner is the same way. its exhausting. i literally start withdrawing if its just about finishing. i tell him straight up that if he wants cuddling just ask for it separately. its not my job to assume hes cuddly after. i need connection not just release. its so tiring to have to manage his emotions around intimacy too.

Quote from Wisehillside1986 on March 18, 2026, 12:52 amyeah honey same here. Tbh, i used to hate the gym so much. now i just walk around my neighborhood for 30 mins while listening to audiobooks or music. makes time fly and doesnt feel like a chore at all. sometimes i just sit on the porch and soak up the sun. keeps the joints loose without the agony of lifting weights. hope you find something that clicks for you too.

Quote from Seaaction on March 21, 2026, 9:29 pmI don’t deal with that nonsense. If my husband speaks to me with disrespect, I shut it down right then. I tell him I’m not accepting that tone and I’m walking away until he can speak properly. You aren’t too sensitive, you just have standards. Don’t let him gaslight you into thinking his bad behavior is your problem. Walk away if he won’t change.

Quote from ScarletCove on March 21, 2026, 9:29 pmsame. its like my brain just turns on at exactly 3. i lay there staring at the ceiling wondering why i sent that text 3 years ago. tried reading, tried meditation, nothing works. now i just accept it and listen to true crime podcasts until i pass out again. honestly tired of being tired but cant turn the thoughts off. ugh.

Quote from rosecomparison on January 13, 2026, 8:21 amim a mil spouse so we moved 4 times in 3 years. my prs never got stuck, they just vanished because i had no stable gym or consistent routine. i focused on mastering slow perfect reps with whatever weight i could carry in my duffel bag. consistency over intensity when life is chaotic. dont expect linear progress when ur environment keeps changing.

Quote from Harptower on May 2, 2026, 10:24 pmYeah it’s annoying but not a dealbreaker unless it’s like a vacuum cleaner. I had to train my partner because the snoring was killing me too. Tried mouth tape first but he hated it. Now he just sleeps on his side with a humidifier running. If it drives you crazy give him one of those strips before breaking up. Otherwise just get earplugs and stop looking at his face at 3am.

Quote from Mauvemission on April 9, 2026, 8:53 pmI literally just slide the dishes into the dishwasher over his shoulder while he’s still in the shower. He knows if he leaves them for more than ten minutes they disappear, so he cleans them as he goes now. I tried talking about it for a year and nothing changed until I just handled it myself and stopped asking since then it’s been smooth sailing. Hope that helps keep some sanity.
