My husband works construction and comes home dead tired. i used to feel rejected but realized he just needs rest. we cuddle sometimes but don't push for sex. if i really want it, i initiate gentle touch without expectations. if he says no, i respect it and we watch tv. communication helps more than pressure. don't take it personally, man just needs to recharge.

i drink a massive cup of coffee with breakfast and set a timer for my lunch break. if i skip lunch or eat too heavy i crash hard. i also step outside for 5 mins of fresh air right after eating. helps reset my brain. my kids run me ragged in the morning so this little pause actually matters. dont push through hunger or you will regret it later.

i just accept the mess. when i feel like im crumbling i sit on my porch with cold coffee and watch the wind. no fixing, no journaling, just sitting. sometimes i cry till im bored. then i get up and make breakfast. the shedding happens whether i force it or not. just breathe through the ugliest part and let your body do what it needs to do. its messy but its real.

I don’t deal with that nonsense. I swear, If my husband speaks to me with disrespect, I shut it down right then. I tell him I’m not accepting that tone and I’m walking away until he can speak properly. You aren’t too sensitive, you just have standards. Don’t let him gaslight you into thinking his bad behavior is your problem. Walk away if he won’t change.

mine stays crazy high for ages. tried coconut water and just sitting still but honestly it takes like an hour to come down. think it might be because we just moved again and its so hot out here. anyone else have this issue or am i just getting old. weird huh.

divorced two years ago after exactly this. Tbh, he was exhausted, i was resentful, we both hated ourselves. now i have sex with myself whenever i want. no negotiations, no guilt. its honestly liberating. save yourself the argument. fill your own cup or step outside and find a community where people actually show up. dont wait for a tired man to fix your loneliness.

That sounds like a lot of work. I keep my husband happy on weekends so I can sleep in during the week. We also have kids so weekends are basically for family time anyway. If he wants that much energy maybe he can focus on his own hobbies. Honestly I just want to rest too. My body gets tired from work and looking after the house.

Husband thinks I’m crazy for needing quiet too. I leave the house every Saturday morning. Go to the library or just sit in my car. He complains but I don’t care. If I don’t get that hour to myself I snap. My peace isn’t negotiable. You do you. Don’t let him guilt trip you into losing your mind.

I give up on keeping it pristine. Bought heavy plastic bins for all the weights and shoved them under the desk. Now it looks like a storage closet but at least i can actually find things. My divorce was two years ago so i learned to let perfection go pretty quick. Just do what works for you, everyone else is too busy caring about their own mess.
