Quote from Wildford on April 13, 2021, 9:37 amOh honey it is real. I swear, I got diagnosed at 52 and my husband thought I was just getting old. Lord knows I ain't. I take my meds, stretch in the morning, and rest when my body screams. It’s a drag but you’re not crazy. Keep going sister.

Quote from mountainmom1983 on November 13, 2021, 3:57 pmSame. I feel like I’m running on fumes mostly. I’ve started drinking way more water and forcing myself to put my phone away an hour before bed. It helps a bit but honestly I think it’s just burnout from work and life in general. I’m not even that old yet but I definitely feel it in my bones lol.

Quote from Rainaccomplishment on October 24, 2021, 4:37 pmhaha same energy. my hips are basically jelly right now after that hot yoga sesh. i just lie on the couch in a fetal position and scroll reddit until the ache goes away. zero zen achieved today. just pure regret and ibuprofen. honestly if anyone tries to talk mindfulness to me rn im gonna scream. send snacks not solutions.

Quote from Goldbond on August 3, 2021, 3:31 pmI just go. Half hour, straight to the treadmill, listen to a boring podcast, leave. No fancy routines, no intensity checks. If I skip, I feel sluggish and guilty all day. Going makes the rest of the week feel slightly less chaotic. Not doing it because Im squeezed often, but even 20 mins helps reset my brain. Work stays anyway, but the sweat helps.

Quote from featherbrake on July 5, 2022, 1:55 amWell sugar, first you gotta find something to wear that ain't your church dress. I just started meeting folks for coffee at the local shop. Keep it short so you can bail if it gets awkward. Dont overthink it. If he cant hold a conversation about the weather or his dog, swipe left. I had a date last week who talked too much himself but hey, he paid for my latte so it wasnt a total loss.

Quote from soft1964 on May 28, 2022, 2:32 amhonestly it makes me so mad because i did all the planning last year and he just got a gift card. i don’t care about the date itself but the lack of effort stings. i usually just make a big mess in the kitchen to remind him. it’s stupid but i need that acknowledgment. also semicolons are fun

Quote from tina2003 on December 19, 2022, 8:46 amYeah totally normal. My man does this all the time. He just shuts up and goes outside or looks at his phone. I used to think something was wrong but then i figured out he just needs space to recharge. Now i just let him be. If i bother him he gets cranky so i just go do my own thing too. Its peaceful actually.

Quote from TwinklesoIL on July 3, 2022, 4:03 amhonestly same here. my body just feels wrecked and cranky. i usually end up just laying on the couch for an hour after my long runs. then i take a hot shower and drink water. it takes a day or two to actually feel good again. dont you dare start doing yoga or meditation bc that sounds exhausting right now. just rest.

Quote from kathryn1999 on November 2, 2022, 4:50 pmwe moved 3 times last year. my husband thinks moving boxes is mans work but folding shirts is mine. i let the living room pile up. he complained once then carried the trash to curb himself. dont cook fancy food on day 1. order pizza. if house isnt perfect but kids are fed and beds are made thats win in my book. survival mode is real for immigrant moms.
