why is my gym anxiety worse than the actual workout ??
Quote from Carol1993 on January 6, 2021, 8:10 amI do the same thing lol. Hot water is sacred healing after dealing with kids and work all day. If he needs that reset time to just be quiet and clean, let him have it. I usually go in after him so the bathroom stays warm. Just enjoy your own peace while he’s in there. It’s not about control, it’s about survival.

Quote from Cedarlegend on March 22, 2021, 7:32 pmHappens to me all the time. For real, I switched to a heavy duty detergent and added a cup of white vinegar to the rinse cycle. Also stopped letting wet clothes sit in the machine. Usually put them right in the dryer. Makes a huge difference. My old stuff smelled like a swamp till i did that. Now it just smells like clean cotton. Try the vinegar trick first its cheap and works.

Quote from Sunnysoul1994 on August 18, 2021, 4:28 amHonestly he sounds typical desi husband type. Tbh, After work he just sits on sofa with phone. I tell him behave like normal human being. Sometimes we just sit together drinking chai saying nothing and it is okay. But if silence means he ignores you completely that is red flag. Talk to him clearly about what you need. Don't guess his feelings.

Quote from Countryroad2000 on August 3, 2021, 3:31 pmyeah that happens to me too when i sit all day at the diner. mine gets stiff as a board. i just stand up and walk around the kitchen for a bit or do some simple stretches by the sink. helps a lot. drink water too cuz dehydration makes it worse. mine still hurts sometimes but moving around gets it to loosen up eventually. dont worry about it too much

Quote from WiseMoon on April 19, 2022, 5:54 pmI stopped playing detective when he started requesting space. If he needs to breathe he can do it outside our home. I packed his favorite mug and moved it to the shelf. Then I ordered takeout and watched a movie without checking my phone every five minutes. Peace is expensive but cheaper than anxiety. Now he texts me asking if we are okay. I just sent a thumbs up emoji and went back to work.

Quote from honeydew1994 on April 19, 2022, 5:54 pmi drink a cup of nettle tea before bed and keep my room pitch black. also stop scrolling right before sleep, the blue light messes with your rest. i noticed once i stopped eating heavy meals late at night, i wake up way more refreshed. try drinking a big glass of water first thing in the morning too, dehydration hides as fatigue sometimes.

Quote from dawnpanorama on November 3, 2022, 2:34 amHe’s projecting. When my ex did that, i stopped trying to read his mind. I just kept doing my thing. If he wants to talk, great. If not, i’m not gonna sit here anxious while he ignores me. You teach kids all day, you have enough emotional labor to do. Don’t give your energy away to someone who isn’t showing up. Just focus on your own routine and see if he steps up.

Quote from Meadowbronze on February 8, 2022, 4:09 amHonestly yeah i cancelled headspace last year. saved the money and just sit on my balcony with my phone in another room. 10 mins of staring at the void works just as well. apps are just a business model targeting anxious professionals. plus the constant notifications reminding you to meditate is ironic at best. keep it simple.

Quote from Patricia1994 on February 27, 2022, 3:47 pmHoney I feel you. I just park way back in the lot and walk in slow. Nobody looks at nobody anyway. I wear my old sweat clothes so I dont care what happens. Its just noise and machines. You gotta get used to being uncomfortable at first. Just go do one thing then leave if you need to. Keep it simple.

Quote from Patty1984 on September 19, 2022, 6:35 ammy husband is the same way. we just sit watch tv and hold hands. he says its enough to feel close. i tried talking more but he gets shut down. so now i just lean into it. sometimes silence is better than fake words. dont force convo if hes not there. just sit with him. it works for us even if it feels weird at first. trust the quiet.
