why is my gym anxiety worse than the actual workout ??
Quote from Cloudnine1975 on June 22, 2019, 6:28 ami went to la fitness last thursday around 6 pm because i thought i could sneak in a quick spin before my shift at nike ended. i parked in the back row near the bleachers. when i walked in the turnstile beeped red and i just stood there sweating even though it was forty degrees outside. i saw a guy i go to uic with staring at his phone. i panicked. i walked back out to the parking lot and sat in my civic for twenty minutes eating a granola bar i bought at cvs. the label said five dollars for a tiny box. i feel stupid. i paid my membership fee for this month and i almost didnt even use the treadmill. my heart was pounding so hard i felt sick. is it just me or is the anticipation way worse than the actual lifting?

Quote from Brightvalley1972 on September 12, 2019, 12:16 pmdont miss it. Omg, i am 46 and my husband and i have been together 20 years. we stopped doing all that fake excitement years ago. now we just chill. watch tv, eat good food, talk about bills. it is peaceful. the honeymoon phase is exhausting. you spend all your energy trying to impress someone. i rather be comfortable and know he is not going anywhere. save your energy for yourself.

Quote from susan1992 on February 24, 2020, 1:51 pmMire. Same here. Yesterday i was walking to get coffee and out of nowhere i started power walking like my life depended on it. No one was chasing me but i felt like it. Then i got home and just collapsed on the couch. I think its just the caffeine or maybe im losing my mind lol. Definitely need a siesta after these random bursts of energy. So confusing.

Quote from kimberly1984 on September 24, 2020, 11:18 pmthree years is forever honestly. i’ve been off apps for two years now. my tribe taught me patience is good but not sitting around waiting for magic. i go to classes and meet people through friends. if he can’t commit in that time he’s just using the app for ego. stop waiting. keep living your life.

Quote from Dawnfarewell on June 23, 2020, 2:21 pmI do the same thing lol. Hot water is sacred healing after dealing with kids and work all day. If he needs that reset time to just be quiet and clean, let him have it. I usually go in after him so the bathroom stays warm. Just enjoy your own peace while he’s in there. It’s not about control, it’s about survival.

Quote from theresa1974 on January 19, 2021, 7:25 pmI pulled the plug on that nonsense years ago. If he says i am too sensitive while tossing out garbage, he gets told to take a hike. No explaining, no crying, just leaving the room. My peace is worth more than his ego. I dont waste breath arguing with someone who refuses to see reality. Y’all deserve better than walking on eggshells.

Quote from bravelight on January 8, 2021, 9:19 pmyeah it is. i limit how many things i say yes to now. last week i just told a parent i cant help with their child after hours. felt so weird saying no but did it anyway. im done carrying everyone else emotional baggage while grading papers. just doing the bare minimum for anyone who isnt my immediate family these days.

Quote from Teresa1992 on January 3, 2021, 1:23 pmi drink a cup of nettle tea before bed and keep my room pitch black. Lol, also stop scrolling right before sleep, the blue light messes with your rest. i noticed once i stopped eating heavy meals late at night, i wake up way more refreshed. try drinking a big glass of water first thing in the morning too, dehydration hides as fatigue sometimes.
