why is it so hard to get off the couch at 4am ??
Quote from Victoria1987 on July 5, 2019, 9:44 pmLook I really tried this morning. Set three alarms cause u know how it go. First one went off at 355am my boy was still sleeping so I turned it off hoping to catch 20 more mins then I hit snooze on the second one and rolled over feeling like a dead weight. By the time the third one hit at 410am my back was already stiff and I just laid there staring at the ceiling fan spinning. I keep telling myself Im gonna start waking up early to get those coupons from Target before they sell out or just have a quiet coffee but every morning I fight it so hard. My body just feels glued to the mattress. I dont even got energy to make breakfast let alone go to the gym. Is it just me or is everyone else struggling with this too

Quote from Violetflute on September 9, 2019, 12:11 pmYeah it ain’t just you. My knees sound like crunchy cereal every morning. I started wearing compression sleeves and cutting back on high impact stuff. Yoga helps too but omg the stairs are painful. Just keep moving so they don’t lock up completely. Drink plenty of water and stretch. We’ll be spry forever or at least pretend to be.

Quote from TwinkleRiver on May 24, 2019, 7:29 amI just stopped fighting it. Bought the basic cerave cleanser and nothing else. Used to buy fancy stuff hoping it would fix everything. Now I just wash, moisturize, and let it be. My skin actually cleared up when I stopped stressing over it. Sometimes doing less is the only move left when you are exhausted.

Quote from wisefire on August 8, 2020, 8:47 amYeah it’s super isolating. I just go in with huge noise cancelling headphones and try to invisibly blend into the background. My routine is strictly chest and back so i don’t have to interact with anyone. If someone accidentally bumps into my rack i just grunt and move away. id rather be home reading anyway lol. gym socializing feels forced and unnecessary. just power through and leave.

Quote from Tailtunnel on June 30, 2020, 3:52 amYeah honestly. Hubby snores so loud i just give up after a while. We make out sometimes but that is about it. I think at our age it just is not the main event anymore. We hold hands and watch tv which is nice enough. Dont stress about it. My body just aches too much for anything wild.

Quote from amberglow on November 19, 2020, 1:08 pmhonestly same here. i’m twenty eight and honestly just so done with the performance aspect of it all. some nights i’d rather just cuddle or sleep. it’s not that i don’t love my partner but the pressure to be excited is exhausting. i feel like i’m constantly thinking about what’s next instead of just being in the moment. is everyone else this checked out or am i just crazy

Quote from anna1982 on December 24, 2020, 7:32 pmI do the same thing lol. Hot water is sacred healing after dealing with kids and work all day. If he needs that reset time to just be quiet and clean, let him have it. I usually go in after him so the bathroom stays warm. Just enjoy your own peace while he’s in there. It’s not about control, it’s about survival.

Quote from glowgem on December 16, 2020, 7:35 pmbasit, true feeling like garbage is not normal. I am 58 now, body pain starts after breakfast. But I walk in park every morning with chai in hand. Doctor says keep moving. Sar ka bhari pareshani? Forget it. Just eat good food and sleep well. No drama please. Life continues, we just have to adjust our chappal and keep walking.

Quote from stormfarewell on August 16, 2020, 8:28 amsame here. standing 8 hrs for work made my arches scream. i just swap to orthopedic inserts, not the cheap ones from mall. works way better. also try evening foot soak with epsom salt, helps reduce swelling after long shift. dont push through pain or it turns into plantar fasciitis. trust me, learned the hard way last year.

Quote from free1990 on September 23, 2020, 1:01 amugh right. i used to try deep breathing but it just made me more anxious. now i just zone out with loud action movies or listen to true crime podcasts. keeps my brain busy so i dont overthink. also ice baths help when my muscles feel tight from stress. honestly just numbing the noise out works better than trying to calm down. its exhausting being on high alert all the time.
