why does working out make me feel worse than before ??
Quote from Calmfog on November 20, 2024, 7:55 amLord have mercy. I sit on a thick memory foam cushion during every service now. My doctor said its the only way to keep my joints from giving out. I also take ibuprofen right after getting home. Hot shower helps too. We walking up there in heels for an hour then wonder why our legs hurt. Switch to sneakers yall.

Quote from wiseparade on December 22, 2024, 2:56 pmHonestly im just resting. Like sleeping until my body stops screaming. I stopped trying to be productive or fix everything overnight. My therapist told me to treat myself like I had the flu, so thats what I do. Drink agua, nap in the day, eat whatever sounds good even if its junk food. You cant pour from an empty cup so just let yourself be useless for now. Take it one hour at a time.

Quote from Goldenhour1990 on March 12, 2024, 3:32 amI stopped playing detective when he started requesting space. If he needs to breathe he can do it outside our home. I packed his favorite mug and moved it to the shelf. Then I ordered takeout and watched a movie without checking my phone every five minutes. Peace is expensive but cheaper than anxiety. Now he texts me asking if we are okay. I just sent a thumbs up emoji and went back to work.

Quote from Crystal1983 on October 27, 2024, 7:46 amdivorced two years ago after exactly this. Tbh, he was exhausted, i was resentful, we both hated ourselves. now i have sex with myself whenever i want. no negotiations, no guilt. its honestly liberating. save yourself the argument. fill your own cup or step outside and find a community where people actually show up. dont wait for a tired man to fix your loneliness.

Quote from featherwaterway on July 12, 2024, 5:54 pmfr bro is he alive lol i usually say let me grab my purse first cuz that’s my polite way of saying no without being rude. also check if he’s just rushing to get home. my ex did that. u know the drill. keep it casual and see if he walks u to ur car or just stands there staring. red flag if hes clocking the whole date like its a pit stop.

Quote from ashepic on November 27, 2024, 6:54 amHonestly i just stopped apologizing for it. My auntie sat me down and said my body is mine not his obligation. Now i just say no clearly without over explaining. If they get mad that’s on them. Also make sure you’re not just burnt out from kitchen duty all week. Rest is valid. Keep your boundaries firm sis.

Quote from Gloria1969 on December 20, 2024, 4:44 amI had to stop signing up for team sports where everyone relies on me to show up. Lol, Now I just go run by myself before work. If people dont wanna meet me outside, they can wait in the car or stay home. My workout is my workout. I dont have time or energy to babysit grown adults through their fitness journeys. It is exhausting and pointless. I focus on my pace and my goals only. Boundaries helped more than any new routine ever did.
