why does working out make me feel worse than before ??
Quote from Mudstub on February 24, 2025, 1:58 pmSame here basically. Just moved for my husbands deployment this month. Doc says labs are perfect but i am dragging all day. I ended up checking my iron and vits too. Low iron was part of it. Also just standard military life burnout. Try adding straight iron supplements if you havent. Helps a bit at least until we settle in new base housing. Good luck

Quote from Covechime on February 24, 2025, 1:58 pmI feel you. At my age, I just dont want it either. My husband sleeps in the other room half the time and we are perfectly fine with that. I prefer cuddling on the couch watching tv without any pressure to perform. Life is too short to stress over something you dont need to do. Just relax and enjoy your time together.

Quote from Bloommud on November 6, 2025, 2:32 pmI pulled the plug on that nonsense years ago. If he says i am too sensitive while tossing out garbage, he gets told to take a hike. No explaining, no crying, just leaving the room. My peace is worth more than his ego. I dont waste breath arguing with someone who refuses to see reality. Y’all deserve better than walking on eggshells.

Quote from indigogrotto on August 3, 2025, 10:23 amYeah it ain’t just you. My knees sound like crunchy cereal every morning. I started wearing compression sleeves and cutting back on high impact stuff. Yoga helps too but omg the stairs are painful. Just keep moving so they don’t lock up completely. Drink plenty of water and stretch. We’ll be spry forever or at least pretend to be.

Quote from Soft1991 on August 28, 2026, 6:52 pmI just say no and stop explaining myself. My body, my rules. If he cant handle that we done. I used to feel bad but now I see it as lazy communication on my part. You dont owe anyone access to yourself. Just be clear and consistent. If guilt creeps in remind yourself that you are allowed to rest too.

Quote from Bronzeplantation on January 13, 2026, 8:21 amsame. just bought a meditation app at 11pm and now i am staring at the ceiling waiting for enlightenment. it is not working. the couch feels like it glued itself to me. i tried shifting my legs but the friction coefficient is too high. probably will just nap for 20 mins and ruin my circadian rhythm again. send coffee. or dont. i am too tired to decide.

Quote from Barefoot1977 on March 19, 2026, 3:20 amsame here and its exhausting. i usually just do foam rolling and strength training 2x a week to balance the pounding. also way more protein post run or i crash hard. hydration matters too bc im always dehydrated. just listen to your body and take rest days. dont push through the pain. im in my 30s so recovery takes longer now than in college. hope you feel better soon.

Quote from Catmom1981 on June 23, 2025, 4:28 amHoney I feel you. I just park way back in the lot and walk in slow. Nobody looks at nobody anyway. I wear my old sweat clothes so I dont care what happens. Its just noise and machines. You gotta get used to being uncomfortable at first. Just go do one thing then leave if you need to. Keep it simple.

Quote from Windinsurance on December 13, 2025, 12:20 pmHonestly I just sit on the bench with my coffee and watch. They can climb the whole structure without me. I tried running around too when they were little but my knees gave out. Now I just yell if they get stuck. My back hurts enough from carrying groceries. Let them be independent already. I need to rest, not play.

Quote from MeadowBay on January 7, 2025, 2:12 pmI just started sleeping on the couch. For real, Honestly it was easier than lying there staring at the ceiling feeling rejected. He sleeps better now too but we barely speak. I spend my time with my horses and friends. You gotta take care of yourself first. If he won't put in the work then stop waiting for him to change. It saves a lot of drama.
