Quote from RainbowChild on April 22, 2024, 4:59 pmnah that sounds like he’s just trying to get away with being rude. i just tell my partner straight up that his tone is disrespectful and i won’t tolerate it. if he gets defensive then i know he’s not listening. i walk away until he can speak to me with basic respect. you’re not too sensitive for wanting to be treated right.

Quote from Wooltunnel on February 21, 2024, 2:27 pmugh seriously my husband did the exact same thing last week after we moved to germany. i told him to take a hike because his mum lives three time zones away and i am not her. i cook what i want what happens and if he doesnt like it he can figure it out himself. honestly the constant moving makes me too tired to stress over replicating some random meal his brain is fixated on anyway. just keep doing you.

Quote from Wishwalk on April 13, 2024, 4:53 amyeah it is. i limit how many things i say yes to now. last week i just told a parent i cant help with their child after hours. felt so weird saying no but did it anyway. im done carrying everyone else emotional baggage while grading papers. just doing the bare minimum for anyone who isnt my immediate family these days.

Quote from Mossemblem on May 27, 2024, 3:23 amHonestly i just stopped apologizing for it. My auntie sat me down and said my body is mine not his obligation. Now i just say no clearly without over explaining. If they get mad that’s on them. Also make sure you’re not just burnt out from kitchen duty all week. Rest is valid. Keep your boundaries firm sis.

Quote from Petalpromenade on June 14, 2024, 9:33 pmhonestly i think it’s just stress from moving every two years. my cortisol is probably through the roof. i tried cutting carbs like everyone says but it just made me crazy. now i just eat yogurt and fruit after PT bc its easier when you’re tired. also never skip breakfast. my body would literally shut down if i waited too long to eat. weird right but it works for me

Quote from Gentlespring on August 12, 2024, 12:00 amOh honey same here lol. For real, I tried my first yoga retreat last year and spent half the class waddling around. I just sit on a folded towel now and let it all go. No fancy props needed. My knees click like a geiger counter but at least I get some quiet time to drink tea. Keep going dear.

Quote from Dreamer1996 on September 3, 2024, 9:39 amHonestly yes. I immigrated here ten years ago and still hate treadmills. My wife makes me do 30 mins but I look forward to it like going to dentist. After 20 mins my legs are jelly. Maybe try walking on incline first. Or just walk outside in neighborhood. Less boring anyway. We are all tired from life already dont push too hard.

Quote from Craftqueen1992 on April 11, 2024, 3:55 amThat sounds like a lot of work. I swear, I keep my husband happy on weekends so I can sleep in during the week. We also have kids so weekends are basically for family time anyway. If he wants that much energy maybe he can focus on his own hobbies. Honestly I just want to rest too. My body gets tired from work and looking after the house.
