Quote from Stephanie1969 on June 20, 2026, 3:30 amomg no not just you. I eat a whole chicken leg right after lift day. serious. my trainer says I’m wasting calories but I’m starving like a wolf. after carbs just don’t cut it. I need fat and protein immediately or I get the shakes. also iced coffee helps somehow? weird but true. don’t let them gatekeep your hunger. eat.

Quote from Julie1988 on August 30, 2025, 6:06 pmI stop chasing them. I find a bench and sit. If they want me to watch them swing or drop and run, they gotta come get me. I’m in my forties, my knees are shot and I refuse to jog after a seven year old anymore. They learn pretty quick that mom is stationary unless they initiate. Saves my energy and tests their legs.

Quote from Anna1985 on August 1, 2026, 3:14 ammy knees are wrecked too especially after long services. Honestly, i usually ice them right after and take a couple ibuprofen. being an athlete doesnt protect me from aging joints lol. seriously though just rest them and don't push it the next day. i learned that the hard way.

Quote from MeadowVoyage on January 2, 2025, 6:17 pmomg sis same energy. we’re pacific so family always over but my husband is a stink bomb. i literally just pull the blankets over his head and bury him in the bed. if he wakes up squished he’ll wash his face at least. husband smells like fish and sweat but i’m too tired to fight. just use strong perfume and ignore it lol.

Quote from windbalance on December 21, 2025, 6:15 amSame here honestly. After 2 kids, my energy is basically zero after work. I dont even think about it most days. We just sleep next to each other and thats it. Sometimes we try but im too tired so i say no. It has been like this for years now. I guess it is normal for us moms. My husband understands mostly but sometimes gets quiet about it.

Quote from goldenbay on January 28, 2025, 9:10 amI feel this. Last year I hit a wall too. I’m a teacher so I spend all day pouring into others and come home with nothing left. I realized it wasnt laziness, it was just burnout. Now I force myself to rest without guilt. Honestly just taking a nap or doing absolutely nothing for an hour changed everything. Youre not lazy, youre just drained. Be kind to yourself.

Quote from dusktruce on August 10, 2026, 4:41 pmI just started sleeping on the couch. Honestly it was easier than lying there staring at the ceiling feeling rejected. He sleeps better now too but we barely speak. I spend my time with my horses and friends. You gotta take care of yourself first. If he won't put in the work then stop waiting for him to change. It saves a lot of drama.

Quote from Rebecca1971 on June 5, 2026, 9:52 amI stopped sleeping next to someone who did that years ago. The noise kept me up all night and frankly the hygiene was gross. I am not interested in debating why he does it or trying to fix it with mouth tape. I need rest so I pack my pillow and take a nap elsewhere. If he cant snore quietly then he sleeps in the guest room. Simple as that.

Quote from Clayditch on May 2, 2026, 10:24 pmhonestly i stopped keeping score years ago. now i just buy myself flowers and go get lunch with my best friend. we laugh about it over coffee. he gets the silent treatment until he remembers next time. dont waste your energy crying over it. treat yourself instead. my husband forgot our 30th too. i just changed the subject and ordered pizza. life goes on.
