Quote from birddefeat on August 9, 2023, 11:48 amhonestly same. ive stopped trying to meditate every morning and guilt myself for missing days. now i just do what feels doable. sometimes its five minutes of breathing, other times its napping. im done performing spirituality. i teach second grade so i deal with chaos all day, im not adding mental load. just be kind to yourself.

Quote from cotton on November 4, 2023, 10:57 pmhonestly that is wild. i dont smell anything different but my guy says i smell like vanilla when Im pregnant. weird how bodies change. i just take extra showers and use unscented soap to be safe. dont let him drive you crazy over something you cant control. just wash up and go about your day. its not your fault.

Quote from Pearlpresentation on July 27, 2023, 4:54 amI literally sprint into the locker room and close my eyes for 60 sec. Heart rate spikes just thinking about people watching. My trick is noise cancelling headphones and ignoring everyone. Once i start moving the panic fades. Just zone out. dont look at mirrors. keep it simple. u got this but yeah the walk in is the hardest part.

Quote from Woolscore on November 28, 2024, 11:28 amusually its just dehydration and low blood sugar hitting at once. i drink a big glass of water immediately after and eat something with carbs and protein within 30 mins. if i skip the postrun snack i feel terrible too. also make sure you actually cool down with a walk instead of just stopping dead. helps the cortisol drop

Quote from creekwish on April 30, 2024, 8:23 amugh tell me about it. Ngl, i cant even sit down right bc my quads are screaming. took me three days to walk down the stairs after my last session and even that was a struggle. i just layed in bed and stared at the ceiling while my legs shook. but hey at least we look good doing it, right? ugh. seriously though hope it goes away by tomorrow.

Quote from Ringlevee on October 16, 2024, 4:02 pmI just throw a load of laundry in and call it a day. For real, My husband complains but he never helps so I just ignore him. I’m black and white but mostly exhausted from moving every two years. Chicago winters are brutal enough without stressing over dust bunnies. I eat cereal on the counter while boxes sit in the living room. If he wants it perfect he can clean it himself. I’m too tired to care rn.

Quote from Judy1979 on January 3, 2024, 3:46 pmI literally just told my man to take over every other weekend. No negotiation. If he wants to be a dad, he steps up. I used to do everything too until I got so tired I just stopped caring. Now he handles bedtime and laundry on his days. It’s not fair but it’s necessary for my sanity. Just set the boundary baby.

Quote from Moonflute on December 15, 2024, 2:55 amHonestly same. I gave up on all the fancy plans. Just walk after dinner with my husband and do squats while watching TV in Arabic. No gym, no protein shakes, no counting calories. My back hurts less and that is enough. We immigrants have enough stress without worrying about core strength tips. Keep it simple or go crazy.
