Quote from Betty1983 on December 24, 2022, 12:47 amHoney I just keep pushin on. Ngl, I stop drinkin coffee after noon cause it wrecks my sleep. Then I just rest my feet up and listen to the Word while I knit. Ain t nothing you can do about it but breathe through it. My grandma said this is just the price of admission for survivin this long. So I just take it day by day y all.

Quote from Wisehillside1969 on July 4, 2022, 10:38 pmI stopped sleeping next to someone who did that years ago. The noise kept me up all night and frankly the hygiene was gross. I am not interested in debating why he does it or trying to fix it with mouth tape. I need rest so I pack my pillow and take a nap elsewhere. If he cant snore quietly then he sleeps in the guest room. Simple as that.

Quote from Coralloom on April 30, 2023, 2:02 amhonestly i stopped asking him to help. i just do what needs doing while he hangs out. if he complains about the mess i tell him to fix it himself or shut up. at this point his energy is not worth the fight. i save my mental peace for myself and my kids. let him live in the chaos he ignores. peace is more important than being right.

Quote from Meadowspindle on June 8, 2023, 4:10 amhon honey, drink a gallon of water everyday. seriously. i keep a big jug on my desk at the church office cause i forget otherwise. also walk around the block twice a day. sitin there all week just stops things up. if that dont work try some prune juice. gross but it works. bless your heart.

Quote from WillowWren on July 19, 2023, 10:36 pmYeah it’s super isolating. I just go in with huge noise cancelling headphones and try to invisibly blend into the background. My routine is strictly chest and back so i don’t have to interact with anyone. If someone accidentally bumps into my rack i just grunt and move away. id rather be home reading anyway lol. gym socializing feels forced and unnecessary. just power through and leave.

Quote from Shellriver on April 7, 2023, 2:15 pmnah i would just tell her straight up. tell her its not our culture or tradition here. we don't do that kind of stuff in the house. its confusing for my kids too. just say no politely but firmly. dont let her push it. keep the space yours. if she keeps it up ask her to do it at her place or temple. boundary setting is key fam.

Quote from Marie1972 on October 31, 2023, 5:40 amoh man that sounds awful. i get terrible plantar fasciitis every winter. honestly just rolling a frozen water bottle under my arch for like 10 mins in the morning helps so much. also wear compression socks all day long. i used to ignore it till i couldn't walk straight too. just keep resting your feet when you can. hope you feel better soon

Quote from patricia1985 on December 9, 2023, 2:47 pmomg same. just sit cross legged on a folded blanket instead of floor. keeps hips higher so less pressure on tailbone. i use old yoga mats cut up as extra cushions too. dont force posture if pain is there. just breathe and let body find comfort wherever that is today. sometimes less is more tbh.
