Quote from Ice堡 on May 22, 2024, 1:13 amHusband thinks I’m crazy for needing quiet too. I swear, I leave the house every Saturday morning. Go to the library or just sit in my car. He complains but I don’t care. If I don’t get that hour to myself I snap. My peace isn’t negotiable. You do you. Don’t let him guilt trip you into losing your mind.

Quote from Stephanie1993 on September 12, 2024, 6:06 pmHonest truth is most of us are faking it. I used to think sleep fixed everything until I got my iron and vitamin D levels checked. Turns out I was just running on empty. Eight hours of sleep doesnt help if your body is fighting a deficiency. Go see a doctor and ask for blood work before buying another fancy pillow.

Quote from Dawnfarewell on September 12, 2024, 6:06 pmnah that sounds like he just wants to talk down to u. in my culture we respect elders but partners should talk equal. if he calls u sensitive for asking him to change his tone, he’s dodging accountability. i’d just leave the room when he starts like that. dont let him gaslight u into thinking ur valid feelings are wrong. ur not crazy for wanting basic respect from a partner.

Quote from Michelle1986 on April 6, 2024, 11:53 pmI feel you. At my age, I just dont want it either. My husband sleeps in the other room half the time and we are perfectly fine with that. I prefer cuddling on the couch watching tv without any pressure to perform. Life is too short to stress over something you dont need to do. Just relax and enjoy your time together.

Quote from calmvariation on August 7, 2024, 5:34 pmugh same. i just walk on the treadmill while catching up on podcasts. no heavy lifting for me right now. honestly the gym mirrors are still kinda triggering so i wear a hoodie and keep my head down. low expectations keep me sane. just showing up wins for me these days. its not about burning calories its about claiming that hour for myself.

Quote from sunfog on April 29, 2024, 9:23 amhonestly same. lately i just do the bare minimum. light one candle, sit outside for 10 mins, breathe. thats it. no crystals no journals no rituals. my ancestors didn’t need apps to find peace. i’m tired too so i’m resting not performing spirituality. let it rest.

Quote from Bright1972 on May 10, 2024, 5:57 amAura is just a fancy word for burnout. Tbh, I stare at my spreadsheet at 7pm and feel like a ghost haunting my own kitchen. Sleep helps. Also eating something that isnt granola. If you cant look in the mirror without screaming maybe take the day off. Work does not care if you glow.

Quote from CoveRose on December 12, 2024, 1:09 ammy joints hurt so bad i cant even sleep straight anymore. Tbh, divorce wrecked my cortisol levels i guess. i just ice my knees and take ibuprofen. doctors keep telling me its stress but i feel like my bones are breaking. i just want to lay still without pain for like an hour. its exhausting being a functional human again.

Quote from pinevine on January 17, 2024, 3:49 amusually its just dehydration and low blood sugar hitting at once. For real, i drink a big glass of water immediately after and eat something with carbs and protein within 30 mins. if i skip the postrun snack i feel terrible too. also make sure you actually cool down with a walk instead of just stopping dead. helps the cortisol drop
