sleep?? anyone got any ideas
Quote from silvercomparison on September 6, 2019, 8:12 pmseriously, i feel like im running on fumes. its 1030pm and the kids finally asleep, husband is still working late. i just want to sit for like 5 minutes but im so tired i cant even think. i went to target today for diapers and came back with coffee and cookies, probably not helping. its like i just get into bed and then im up again. i feel like im going to fall asleep at the grocery store checkout. does anyone have any tips for actually getting good sleep when youre this exhausted.

Quote from Brenda1968 on September 6, 2019, 10:23 pm@silvercomparison Oh girl I feel this. 10:30 pm is practically midnight over here. I usually just bribe myself with a cup of herbal tea and promise myself an early night if I can just get through one more load of laundry.

Quote from Soft1961 on September 7, 2019, 5:02 amUgh, @silvercomparison, been there. My youngest is a night owl too. I've found a warm shower before bed helps me unwind a bit, even if it's just for a few minutes.

Quote from indigogrotto on September 7, 2019, 8:39 pmTotally relate, @silvercomparison. My husband works late a lot too. I try to at least put my phone down an hour before bed, it helps me actually fall asleep faster.

Quote from Fogdeparture on September 10, 2019, 1:46 pmSeriously, @silvercomparison. That feeling of being wiped out but wired is the worst. I've been trying to make sure I at least drink enough water during the day, weirdly that seems to help my energy.

Quote from brightvalley1988 on September 12, 2019, 6:13 am@silvercomparison Oh honey, that 10:30 pm feeling is SO real. I’m right there with you. The herbal tea bribe works sometimes, but lately I’ve been burning the candle at both ends too.

Quote from Elizabeth121 on September 13, 2019, 2:26 pmA warm shower sounds so nice, @silvercomparison! My kids are finally quiet but then I just get this second wind. I might try the shower thing tonight though.

Quote from Clawdrudgery on September 15, 2019, 10:28 pmI’m terrible at putting my phone down, @silvercomparison. But you’re right, it probably makes a difference. Maybe I’ll try setting a timer for it.
