Running at 40 — best decision
Quote from alexis1985 on June 23, 2025, 4:28 amHonestly yeah i cancelled headspace last year. saved the money and just sit on my balcony with my phone in another room. 10 mins of staring at the void works just as well. apps are just a business model targeting anxious professionals. plus the constant notifications reminding you to meditate is ironic at best. keep it simple.

Quote from Bayredoubt on June 23, 2025, 4:28 amMan that is rough. Honestly we do a chore chart every Sunday night. Pretty much treats it like work shifts. He got the evening shift until 8 then I take over. It ain't always perfect but it helps split the mental load. If he ghosts his shift we talk about it the next day no yelling just facts. You gotta set boundaries early or it never changes.

Quote from silverpeace on July 22, 2025, 11:59 pmit is 11 pm and the house is dead quiet. my husband fell asleep on the couch at 930 pm with the tv still on. i just did laundry for the fourth time this week because the kids spill juice everywhere. i went to target today for a $2 cereal box and spent $80 on stuff i do not need. now i am sitting here drinking rooibos tea but i cannot relax. the air feels heavy. why does my home feel so cold and empty when my whole family is literally in the other room? i tried lighting a candle from ulta but it did not help. i just feel so drained. is this normal or am i just crazy?

Quote from gloria1974 on March 28, 2026, 12:20 amoh man that sounds awful. i get terrible plantar fasciitis every winter. honestly just rolling a frozen water bottle under my arch for like 10 mins in the morning helps so much. also wear compression socks all day long. i used to ignore it till i couldn't walk straight too. just keep resting your feet when you can. hope you feel better soon

Quote from Free1970 on January 16, 2026, 11:56 pmI stopped trying to manifest money long ago. Now I just grind. I budget tight, pick up extra shifts, and invest what I can. If I want a new car I save for it or work a second job. Manifesting felt like waiting for a check that never arrives. Real talk its about action not just vibes. I focus on what I can control today.

Quote from EmberMoon on January 29, 2026, 12:20 amLook I got that same knee trouble. Ngl, I just take ibuprofen when I actually need it to move around. Not everyday though. My doctor said its safe in moderation. Also try putting ice on it after work. I keep a bag in the freezer ready to go. Works better than sitting there in pain trying to be tough.

Quote from silkinsurance on May 21, 2026, 6:39 pmMy husband works construction so he crashes hard around 2pm. I used to think something was wrong with me too. Then I started napping. Just twenty minutes on the couch while the kids play. Wake up grumpy at first but then the rest of evening is fine. Drinking five cups of coffee doesn't fix it. Try shutting your eyes.

Quote from Sweet1991 on June 3, 2025, 2:18 ami get this too. even when i sleep eight or nine hours, my jaw just drops. it’s annoying. i usually just push through it because it’s socially awkward to keep yawning. sometimes i drink an extra cup of coffee to feel awake but honestly it’s just a weird habit for me now. i don’t think i do anything specific to fix it. just ignore it.

Quote from denise1971 on December 20, 2025, 7:31 ammy joints hurt so bad i cant even sleep straight anymore. divorce wrecked my cortisol levels i guess. i just ice my knees and take ibuprofen. doctors keep telling me its stress but i feel like my bones are breaking. i just want to lay still without pain for like an hour. its exhausting being a functional human again.

Quote from Daisy1975 on September 6, 2026, 2:19 ami feel that. my husband used to think once a week was totally fine. honestly? yeah。 we just stopped scheduling it. now its whenever we actually want to。 turns out spontaneity matters more than a rigid calendar。 if he isnt asking for more maybe he just isnt turned on by the routine。
