Quote from Stardust1987 on July 27, 2022, 6:12 pmmy husband is the same way. For real, we just sit watch tv and hold hands. he says its enough to feel close. i tried talking more but he gets shut down. so now i just lean into it. sometimes silence is better than fake words. dont force convo if hes not there. just sit with him. it works for us even if it feels weird at first. trust the quiet.

Quote from Peaknectar on August 20, 2022, 9:17 amyeah it sucks. Honestly, i basically stand up for the last 10 mins of every zoom to reset. also bought a cheap footrest for my desk setup. helps a lot when you have to sit through 3 hrs of synergy meetings. if its really bad maybe see a doc but mostly its just bad posture combined with sitting too long. my knees click like old floorboards honestly

Quote from seaneedle on December 11, 2022, 5:36 amive moved every 18 months for work and yeah it kills the vibe. hard to build intimacy when you are busy unpacking boxes or sleeping on an air mattress. my partner and i just stopped trying to plan dates during the first year in a new city. we just ordered takeout and watched movies until things settled down. now we wait until lease renews to start dating again

Quote from Proudwhisper on April 27, 2023, 12:17 amI just go to the shed and sit for ten minutes. Doesn’t matter if it’s hot or cold, I need that silence. My husband stops by to yell at me about chores sometimes but I just ignore him till he leaves. Tells him if he wants peace, he needs to mind his own business. We’re in a small house so boundaries are tough but I don’t let him make me feel crazy for needing a break.

Quote from Natalie1970 on October 13, 2023, 3:51 pmsame thing happen to me fr. i just started doing light stretching at home instead of going to the gym. less pressure and i dont have to deal w people staring. also try listening to loud music while u move it helps drown out the noise in my head. dont be too hard on urself. its a journey for real.

Quote from Tiffany1998 on January 6, 2023, 1:57 pmAt that age I just stopped playing along. He said one thing but did another so I just watched his actions. If he wanted to play games I clocked out. No more chasing or questioning. I kept my circle small and focused on my own peace. Love doesn’t mean stress, it means safety.

Quote from softlakeside1988 on April 10, 2023, 1:50 pmSame here. My husband also takes forever. I just put on noise cancelling headphones and listen to music. Or I do my own skincare routine downstairs. No point waiting. Let him take his time. I make chai for myself and relax. It is better than sitting there angry. You learn to manage it. Just ignore the shower sound and focus on yourself. Works for me most days.

Quote from Wisepromenade on March 4, 2023, 7:00 amSach? I miss it too. In India we say marriage is long, but first year was pure magic. Now? Just bills and Kids ka homework. My husband is like roommate now. No dates, just grocery runs. I make effort to dress up sometimes just for me tho. Small things like coffee date without kids helps. We try Sunday breakfast out once a month. It keeps something alive tbh.

Quote from Gloria1994 on November 19, 2023, 3:03 amI feel this. Last year I hit a wall too. I’m a teacher so I spend all day pouring into others and come home with nothing left. I realized it wasnt laziness, it was just burnout. Now I force myself to rest without guilt. Honestly just taking a nap or doing absolutely nothing for an hour changed everything. Youre not lazy, youre just drained. Be kind to yourself.
