My neighbor’s dog gave me life advice-and I’m taking it.
Quote from Warm1984 on January 18, 2026, 9:42 amman i feel this so hard. my partner is the same way. its exhausting. i literally start withdrawing if its just about finishing. i tell him straight up that if he wants cuddling just ask for it separately. its not my job to assume hes cuddly after. i need connection not just release. its so tiring to have to manage his emotions around intimacy too.

Quote from ferncopper on January 2, 2026, 1:43 amit is definitely worse. i stopped swiping last month because every guy under 40 wants a baby mama who cooks kabsa and cleans his house. i just want someone who pays half the rent and doesnt talk about crypto. honestly its better hanging out with my uncles at the weekend mall than dealing with these weird men. tired of explaining basic respect.

Quote from Gentle1962 on September 26, 2025, 7:33 amim so there. kept an old fashioned hot water bottle by my bed all night. just put it on while i was still warm. by the time i needed it for the kid, it was ready. saves having to run back to the bathroom. also got a stash of fever reducers in the kids room. you dont want to hunt in the dark. drink some tea. take turns if he has a sitter.

Quote from True1968 on May 8, 2025, 11:26 pmi literally just stopped asking him to do anything. if i need something done i do it myself or hire a babysitter for an hour. my sanity is worth more than his participation. dont wait around for him to step up he wont. lower your expectations to zero and stop explaining what you need. it just saves everyone the drama.

Quote from RedLakeside on August 3, 2025, 7:44 amy'all drink water after that sweat session? i always forget and end up crashing. also make sure yer eating enough protein right after. i had to train myself to snack on greek yogurt immediately. my body needed the fuel. rest is important too but hunger hits harder than i thought. try it out.

Quote from Windfair on June 9, 2025, 3:13 ami get this too. even when i sleep eight or nine hours, my jaw just drops. it’s annoying. i usually just push through it because it’s socially awkward to keep yawning. sometimes i drink an extra cup of coffee to feel awake but honestly it’s just a weird habit for me now. i don’t think i do anything specific to fix it. just ignore it.

Quote from peachblossom1986 on February 27, 2026, 5:50 pmI switch to walking shoes for service instead of my heels. Saves my joints. Also ibuprofen 30 mins before we leave. Dont wait till its too late. My knees sound like popcorn when I stand up if I dont prep. Just trying to stay mobile so I can keep up with my grandkids. Yall know the drill.

Quote from Goldperformance on August 16, 2026, 4:25 amSame here. My husband also takes forever. I just put on noise cancelling headphones and listen to music. Or I do my own skincare routine downstairs. No point waiting. Let him take his time. I make chai for myself and relax. It is better than sitting there angry. You learn to manage it. Just ignore the shower sound and focus on yourself. Works for me most days.

Quote from Sunny1980 on May 10, 2026, 2:42 pmi feel that. For real, moving every few years makes it hard to stick with a routine or find good spots. ive been lifting heavy and just focusing on strength instead of the scale number. the scale goes up bc muscle weighs more but i look leaner and feel stronger. honestly ignoring the number is the only thing that helps me not hate the gym. just keep showing up.

Quote from Silkaccord on January 30, 2026, 5:20 amHonestly yes. For real, I immigrated here ten years ago and still hate treadmills. My wife makes me do 30 mins but I look forward to it like going to dentist. After 20 mins my legs are jelly. Maybe try walking on incline first. Or just walk outside in neighborhood. Less boring anyway. We are all tired from life already dont push too hard.
