I literally just told my man to take over every other weekend. No negotiation. If he wants to be a dad, he steps up. I used to do everything too until I got so tired I just stopped caring. Now he handles bedtime and laundry on his days. It’s not fair but it’s necessary for my sanity. Just set the boundary baby.

same. just bought a meditation app at 11pm and now i am staring at the ceiling waiting for enlightenment. it is not working. the couch feels like it glued itself to me. i tried shifting my legs but the friction coefficient is too high. probably will just nap for 20 mins and ruin my circadian rhythm again. send coffee. or dont. i am too tired to decide.

I do the same thing lol. Hot water is sacred healing after dealing with kids and work all day. If he needs that reset time to just be quiet and clean, let him have it. I usually go in after him so the bathroom stays warm. Just enjoy your own peace while he’s in there. It’s not about control, it’s about survival.

Honey I just keep pushin on. Omg, I stop drinkin coffee after noon cause it wrecks my sleep. Then I just rest my feet up and listen to the Word while I knit. Ain t nothing you can do about it but breathe through it. My grandma said this is just the price of admission for survivin this long. So I just take it day by day y all.

Ugh that sounds so frustrating. My guy did the same thing, calling me crazy for wanting to talk while he was just scrolling on his phone. I stopped trying to fix it. I just told him I need him to be present or I’m gonna take my energy elsewhere. If he stays distant, mirror that. Don’t let him gaslight you into thinking you’re too much when he’s putting in zero effort. Keep it real with yourself.

Honestly yeah i cancelled headspace last year. saved the money and just sit on my balcony with my phone in another room. 10 mins of staring at the void works just as well. apps are just a business model targeting anxious professionals. plus the constant notifications reminding you to meditate is ironic at best. keep it simple.

Husband thinks I’m crazy for needing quiet too. I leave the house every Saturday morning. Go to the library or just sit in my car. He complains but I don’t care. If I don’t get that hour to myself I snap. My peace isn’t negotiable. You do you. Don’t let him guilt trip you into losing your mind.

honestly same. ive stopped trying to meditate every morning and guilt myself for missing days. now i just do what feels doable. sometimes its five minutes of breathing, other times its napping. im done performing spirituality. i teach second grade so i deal with chaos all day, im not adding mental load. just be kind to yourself.

Honey, mine is dead too. I swear, My husband snores like a chainsaw so we just sleep. Honestly, I find more joy being alone with a glass of wine or reading a book. It's just life at this stage. Don't beat yourself up about it. We're grandmas now, not models. Enjoy the peace and quiet.
