Midwestern melancholy & the 3AM hot cheetos theory
Quote from searose on September 20, 2023, 5:17 amMy grandmomma always said yawning isnt just tiredness. Sometimes its your spirit trying to breathe or stretch when your mind is stuck. I do a quick breath prayer when this happens. Just three deep breaths in through the nose out through the mouth. Helps me ground back to earth. If sleep isnt fixing it maybe it isnt about the body. Check in with whats heavy on your heart today.

Quote from Pinkrosebud2002 on July 24, 2023, 5:31 ami just stopped answering his texts about needing space. Ngl, honestly it feels exhausting to keep picking up the pieces every time he checks out. im focusing on my lesson planning and hanging out with my girls instead. if he wants space he can have it but im not holding my breath. it isnt my job to manage his emotions or wait around.

Quote from Beverly1966 on November 17, 2023, 12:57 pmsame here. just got back from my third move in two years so i know the drill. honestly i just load everything into labeled bins and dont overthink it. my husband handles the heavy lifting while i manage the chaos of keeping the kids calm in the car. it sucks but we do what we gotta do. counting down the days until we actually unpack everything for real.

Quote from Elmflight on August 11, 2023, 11:21 pmomg yes i literally felt like i was dying after leg day. couldn’t even walk down the stairs without crying. just drank a ton of water and ate chicken and rice yesterday. the soreness is brutal but honestly it’s better than feeling weak. my quads feel like jelly right now. just resting today and doing gentle stretching. hope you feel better soon. seriously don’t know how some people bounce back so fast.

Quote from shimmerhorn on May 30, 2024, 11:26 amomg seriously?? five minutes is barely enough time to settle in. my bf does this too and lowkey it’s kinda stressful. i just tell him i’m not ready yet and need to actually relax first. feels like a race sometimes. if he keeps pushing i’d honestly be confused bc like come on. give us a second to breathe ykno

Quote from Nicole1976 on August 19, 2024, 6:30 amdont miss it. i am 46 and my husband and i have been together 20 years. we stopped doing all that fake excitement years ago. now we just chill. watch tv, eat good food, talk about bills. it is peaceful. the honeymoon phase is exhausting. you spend all your energy trying to impress someone. i rather be comfortable and know he is not going anywhere. save your energy for yourself.

Quote from Shorefoundry on April 18, 2024, 12:11 amYeah totally normal. My man does this all the time. He just shuts up and goes outside or looks at his phone. I used to think something was wrong but then i figured out he just needs space to recharge. Now i just let him be. If i bother him he gets cranky so i just go do my own thing too. Its peaceful actually.

Quote from Butterfly1978 on December 10, 2024, 6:17 amomg sis same energy. we’re pacific so family always over but my husband is a stink bomb. i literally just pull the blankets over his head and bury him in the bed. if he wakes up squished he’ll wash his face at least. husband smells like fish and sweat but i’m too tired to fight. just use strong perfume and ignore it lol.
