Mental health check-in
Quote from Shimmerfarewell on March 5, 2024, 3:59 ami sleep 7 hours and still feel like a zombie. my doctor says i’m fine but my energy is shot. i just drink black coffee and survive on sheer willpower until 3pm. then i crash hard. maybe it’s just age or burnout. i stopped trying to fix it and just accepted my low battery mode. dinner is usually takeout because cooking requires too much effort.

Quote from elmflute on April 24, 2024, 9:09 pmI don’t play that game. Honestly, If he leaves it, I let it rot. Seriously. I won’t pick up after an grown man acting like a child. I just move my cleaning supplies away from the sink and let him deal with the mess himself. He figures it out quick when he has no clean pans for coffee. Boundaries keep me sane.

Quote from Amanda1975 on January 20, 2024, 8:23 pmSame situation here man. My husband acts like the kids are not his. I am exhausted holding everything down while he just sits there. My mom and sisters literally had to step in to help with the little ones otherwise I would have collapsed. It drives me crazy that I have to do everything. Just venting cause I have no energy left for this nonsense. Need a break badly.

Quote from soulprospect on January 2, 2026, 1:43 amhe’s prob just high on the smoke lol. i burn white sage daily to clear my space so i always carry that scent. it’s not pheromones men it’s respect for the medicine. if he can’t handle the realness of your practice then he’s not right for you. don’t let him make you feel weird about your traditions. keep smudging.

Quote from Elmspindle on August 8, 2026, 5:10 amhonestly i just chuckle and say no thanks. i need a solid block of quiet to actually decompress. five minutes feels like a blink. sometimes he wants to talk though so i just say lets talk over dinner later. i force a little boundary without making it huge. my brain still feels foggy from grading so i really need that space. just be upfront about needing downtime.

Quote from pearlrush on October 9, 2025, 3:29 pmHonestly yeah. Im a serial snorer and post, divorce life is exhausting. Last time it happened my date laughed and covered me with the duvet. We ordered pizza instead. At this point honest is better than faking it. If they cant handle you being tired maybe they arent the one. Just roll with it.

Quote from Lori1972 on February 25, 2025, 9:08 amArre, ye kya baat hai. For real, My husband also sleeps with mouth hanging open, looks scary actually. I tried taping his mouth once with medical tape, he woke up confused next morning. Now I just give up after two years. It is annoying but not dealbreaker for us. Sahi hai, we make do. If you cant handle it, try nasal strips maybe?

Quote from Janet1979 on April 30, 2025, 7:34 pmI just go to the shed and sit for ten minutes. Doesn’t matter if it’s hot or cold, I need that silence. My husband stops by to yell at me about chores sometimes but I just ignore him till he leaves. Tells him if he wants peace, he needs to mind his own business. We’re in a small house so boundaries are tough but I don’t let him make me feel crazy for needing a break.
