is it normal for a man to get quiet and do his own thing
Quote from Mossexhibit on July 8, 2025, 6:11 amsame honestly. yesterday i just walked on the treadmill listening to a podcast for 20 mins then left. felt crazy not lifting but my brain was fried from work. sometimes my body just needs to move without trying to kill itself. dont be so hard on yourself. consistency beats intensity every time anyway.

Quote from Cottonwatch on January 29, 2025, 11:17 pmyeah that happens to me too when i sit all day at the diner. mine gets stiff as a board. i just stand up and walk around the kitchen for a bit or do some simple stretches by the sink. helps a lot. drink water too cuz dehydration makes it worse. mine still hurts sometimes but moving around gets it to loosen up eventually. dont worry about it too much

Quote from Wildflower1977 on April 17, 2026, 5:31 amLord have mercy. I sit on a thick memory foam cushion during every service now. My doctor said its the only way to keep my joints from giving out. I also take ibuprofen right after getting home. Hot shower helps too. We walking up there in heels for an hour then wonder why our legs hurt. Switch to sneakers yall.

Quote from becky1995 on September 15, 2025, 11:10 pmMy husband works construction so he crashes hard around 2pm. I used to think something was wrong with me too. Then I started napping. Just twenty minutes on the couch while the kids play. Wake up grumpy at first but then the rest of evening is fine. Drinking five cups of coffee doesn't fix it. Try shutting your eyes.

Quote from petalcount on February 28, 2026, 12:07 pmi just ignore it. i put my headphones in and blast music so loud i cant hear anything anyway. if someone is staring, theyre probably just checking form or being rude. doesnt matter. i go there to lift heavy things and leave. i dont care who sees me. just keep lifting and focus on your own workout. dont let strangers ruin your vibe.

Quote from Michelle1990 on October 26, 2025, 8:37 amMija same. I swear the gym smells like sweat and regret. I just walk at my local park while listening to bad reggaeton. No equipment needed just me moving my body. Sometimes I go back and forth at home too. If I miss a day I dont overthink it. Life is messy. Consistency is boring anyway. Just do what feels good that day. Ay ay ay.
