is it normal for a man to get quiet and do his own thing
Quote from Coolstream on June 29, 2025, 2:52 pmyeah mostly. i canceled mine after two months. the 10 minute guided sessions are fine but paying $15/mo for the same info you get on youtube for free is rough. now i just stare at a wall or listen to rain sounds. saves money, same stress relief. if you really need structure, buy a book once. cheaper in the long run.

Quote from debra1995 on June 29, 2025, 2:52 pmyeah honestly same here. i used to feel like my heart was gonna explode after just walking up stairs, let alone running. now i do 5ks weekly but still pant like a crazy person. i just stop, drink water, and wait it out. its not pretty but you get used to the feeling. dont push too hard at first. maybe try walking intervals if running feels too much.

Quote from WildHeart on June 23, 2026, 6:02 pmI feel you. At my age, I just dont want it either. My husband sleeps in the other room half the time and we are perfectly fine with that. I prefer cuddling on the couch watching tv without any pressure to perform. Life is too short to stress over something you dont need to do. Just relax and enjoy your time together.

Quote from Abigail1971 on April 20, 2026, 7:05 amI just wear oversized hoodies everywhere. Omg, Gym included. If they staring its their problem not mine. I focus on my playlist and ignore the mirrors completely. Sometimes I bring a big bag to cover the reflection too. Honestly why do men even look in mirrors while lifting? Weird. Just keep your head down and do your thing. Their business is none of mine.

Quote from carol1966 on August 3, 2025, 10:23 amit is 11 pm and the house is dead quiet. my husband fell asleep on the couch at 930 pm with the tv still on. i just did laundry for the fourth time this week because the kids spill juice everywhere. i went to target today for a $2 cereal box and spent $80 on stuff i do not need. now i am sitting here drinking rooibos tea but i cannot relax. the air feels heavy. why does my home feel so cold and empty when my whole family is literally in the other room? i tried lighting a candle from ulta but it did not help. i just feel so drained. is this normal or am i just crazy?

Quote from jane1981 on September 13, 2025, 10:09 pmim a mil spouse so we moved 4 times in 3 years. Honestly, my prs never got stuck, they just vanished because i had no stable gym or consistent routine. i focused on mastering slow perfect reps with whatever weight i could carry in my duffel bag. consistency over intensity when life is chaotic. dont expect linear progress when ur environment keeps changing.

Quote from iris1969 on August 25, 2025, 12:38 pmI literally sprint into the locker room and close my eyes for 60 sec. Heart rate spikes just thinking about people watching. My trick is noise cancelling headphones and ignoring everyone. Once i start moving the panic fades. Just zone out. dont look at mirrors. keep it simple. u got this but yeah the walk in is the hardest part.

Quote from Catmom1984 on October 31, 2025, 5:14 amnah i would just tell her straight up. tell her its not our culture or tradition here. we don't do that kind of stuff in the house. its confusing for my kids too. just say no politely but firmly. dont let her push it. keep the space yours. if she keeps it up ask her to do it at her place or temple. boundary setting is key fam.

Quote from Iceweir on December 13, 2025, 12:20 pmI dont even try anymore. After watching my grandkids all day im drained. I used to feel guilty but now i just stretch in the living room while watching TV. Its enough movement for me honestly. If they are napping i might do some light yoga but thats it. Total surrender to the couch is the best plan.
