Quote from Islesilver on November 30, 2021, 12:59 pmhonestly just sleep and cheap wine. For real, i stopped trying to be productive for like a month. lay on the couch, read trashy novels, ignore emails. ur brain is fried from the conflict so it needs rest not solutions. if i feel guilty for doing nothing i remind myself that surviving is enough right now. buy groceries that require zero prep.

Quote from Kim1995 on August 28, 2021, 5:00 amHonestly yes I do it twice a week even at my age. Yes it hurts the next day but the strength is worth it. I just lifted light dumbbells and did some squats yesterday. Felt like jelly today but I can still carry my groceries and play with my grandkids without my back killing me. Just stretch well and drink plenty of water. It keeps me independent and strong.

Quote from sharon1973 on May 28, 2021, 5:57 pmOh honey same here lol. I tried my first yoga retreat last year and spent half the class waddling around. I just sit on a folded towel now and let it all go. No fancy props needed. My knees click like a geiger counter but at least I get some quiet time to drink tea. Keep going dear.

Quote from Fordfete on May 19, 2021, 10:17 pmhonestly it makes me so mad because i did all the planning last year and he just got a gift card. i don’t care about the date itself but the lack of effort stings. i usually just make a big mess in the kitchen to remind him. it’s stupid but i need that acknowledgment. also semicolons are fun

Quote from Cliffspore on June 17, 2021, 11:53 pmLook I stopped trying to be spiritual all the time. It felt like work. Now I just drink water and walk outside. If I need to reset I sit quietly for five mins. No chanting no crystals. Just breathing. My peace comes from boundaries not rituals. Keep it simple. Rest when tired. Ignore the pressure to be enlightened. You dont owe anyone your energy.

Quote from WildFire on November 19, 2021, 11:53 pmI just wear oversized hoodies everywhere. Gym included. If they staring its their problem not mine. I focus on my playlist and ignore the mirrors completely. Sometimes I bring a big bag to cover the reflection too. Honestly why do men even look in mirrors while lifting? Weird. Just keep your head down and do your thing. Their business is none of mine.

Quote from victoria1978 on August 13, 2021, 6:47 pmi tell him if he wants it done his way he do it himself. we sit down and split chores right down the middle. no thank yous just duty. if i cook he cleans. if i fold he loads laundry. stop treating him like a guest. he lives here too. my tribal ways teach balance so i enforce it. if he complains i let him complain while i relax. his loss.

Quote from Wisebell on June 3, 2021, 8:34 pmnah i dont wait for him. i just do my half fast then relax. if he complains i tell him to do it himself or shut up. we made a schedule so i know when hes supposed to clean. if he doesnt do it i just leave the mess for him to deal with. stops whining when he has to mop his own floors. dont overthink it just set boundaries.
