is it just me or is dating in your 30s actually worse
Quote from towerflute on September 25, 2019, 10:26 pmugh i am so tired of this. i just got home from teaching sixth grade math and then picked up my daughter from gymnastics. it was 7:30 pm and i was exhausted. swiped on hinge for five minutes before bed. matched with a guy who immediately asked if i wanted to brunch tomorrow. i am not trying to hang out with strangers on my only free weekend morning. i just want to sleep in. found out the price of eggs at kroger went up again. feels like everyone my age is married or dating someone their own age. mine are all single dads wanting something casual. i dont have energy for games. is anyone else feeling this burnout or am i just complaining too much

Quote from bold1986 on December 5, 2019, 10:11 amHaha same here sister. Tbh, My kids are finally napping so Idc. I just brew a double and sit in silence. Its the only time I remember I exist. If I stop now my brain starts racing anyway. So might as well enjoy it. My husband complains but I tell him shhh. Peace is expensive.

Quote from Beth2000 on September 21, 2019, 4:30 pmI get it. At 47, i assumed sleep was free but it really ain’t. I cut coffee after 10am and started taking magnesium before bed. Also checking my iron levels. Sometimes it’s just bad habits. Try going to bed 30 mins earlier and no phone in bed. Just straight sleep.

Quote from Coffeelover1984 on December 9, 2019, 8:01 pmdont miss it. I swear, i am 46 and my husband and i have been together 20 years. we stopped doing all that fake excitement years ago. now we just chill. watch tv, eat good food, talk about bills. it is peaceful. the honeymoon phase is exhausting. you spend all your energy trying to impress someone. i rather be comfortable and know he is not going anywhere. save your energy for yourself.

Quote from Soccermom1969 on November 8, 2019, 1:23 amhonestly i just skip the glute activation bs. feels like a waste of time. i hit my legs hard on squat day and thats it. if they activate during the lift perfect otherwise who cares. save ur energy for the actual weights. plus my gym gets super crowded so standing around doing band walks is annoying. just lift heavy and move on with your life.

Quote from Jean1982 on December 25, 2020, 3:56 pmim sitting on my couch in apt refusing to move. it’s pouring rain outside and i’m just exhausted from existing. my anxiety is doing that thing where it makes every little thing feel heavy so walking 10k feels like a chore i didn’t sign up for. i’d rather just lay here and doomscroll until my eyes hurt. honestly i think i’ll just do 2k and call it a day because my brain is fried and i can’t deal with the pressure right now.

Quote from Countryroad1966 on November 24, 2020, 4:12 pmlol same. i literally had to drag myself outta bed bc my phone was nagging me. felt like violence tbh. ended up just walking around the block once and calling it done. some days the body just says no and i respect that. guilt is real but so is exhaustion. im definitely restin instead of forcing it today. hope ur ok tho.

Quote from Nicole1976 on December 16, 2020, 7:35 pmyeah it’s definitely worse. i’m 29 and the dating apps feel like a part time job i hate. half the guys here in chicago are either looking for a hookup or still acting like they’re in college. the other half are married but won’t admit it. i’m tired of explaining that having a career and boundaries doesn’t mean i’m high maintenance. honestly i’d rather just stay in and order pad thai. the ratio of decent men to available women feels completely off right now and i’m over pretending otherwise.
