husband takes 20 mins to shower every night and i am so
Quote from Fordgold on July 24, 2019, 4:42 pmit is 930 pm and i am so tired i can barely lift my head. my husband is in the bathroom again. he gets in at 815 and it is now 835. twenty minutes every single night. i dont know what he does in there. he just stands under the water. i hear the shampoo bottle clink against the tile. i have to wake up at 530 am for work and put the kids in their uniforms. we just bought new sheets from walmart yesterday and they were on sale for twenty dollars but it does not matter because i am too exhausted to care about the sheets. i feel like i live with a ghost who takes forever to clean his hands. is it normal for men to take that long or is he just ignoring me because he is mad about nothing. please tell me i am crazy.

Quote from Moonchild2001 on July 14, 2020, 10:29 pmhonestly i stopped trying to force myself to the gym. it just wasn working for me. now i just do 20 mins of yoga on my living room rug when i have time. some days i skip it and thats ok. no guilt. just moving my body because it feels good, not because some schedule says i should. keep it simple and dont beat yourself up over missing a day.

Quote from Petalseed on October 1, 2020, 12:17 pmHonestly yeah i cancelled headspace last year. saved the money and just sit on my balcony with my phone in another room. 10 mins of staring at the void works just as well. apps are just a business model targeting anxious professionals. plus the constant notifications reminding you to meditate is ironic at best. keep it simple.

Quote from amberpollen on March 3, 2020, 9:02 pmSame. I just walk fast around my neighborhood after clase. No gym, no counting macros, no expensive supplements. Just me and my thoughts. Sometimes I lift heavy boxes at work and thats enough resistance for me. I drink water and try to sleep 7 hours. If I feel like moving, I dance to bad bops in my room. Its not pretty but it keeps me sane. Why overcomplicate it when simply staying alive already takes so much effort?

Quote from Beth1966 on May 12, 2020, 12:34 amnah i think three years is pretty standard for the hickey phase to fade lol. i stopped checking bumble religiously after six months anyway. now its just another utility app i open when i have nothing better to do. the novelty wore off much faster for me but i still swipe when im bored. dont overthink it. itll get mundane

Quote from Jennifer1991 on July 20, 2020, 2:15 amGirl no that ain't normal. My knees click like crazy after sitting in that pew for two hours on Sunday but it settles down quick. If it hurts this bad after just a few hours something is wrong. I iced mine last night and took a baby aspirin. Hope you feel better soon darlin. Take care of yourself honey.

Quote from Madison1979 on June 29, 2020, 6:36 amHonestly same here. I train 4 days a week and nothing moves. But honestly started tracking protein strictly. Before I was eating carbs only. Now I make sure every meal has chicken or lentils. Also stopped skipping breakfast. My shaadi diet was full of sugar so body got used to it. Give it 2 months see if changes. Don't stress, happens to many of us here.

Quote from Goldenheart1972 on February 2, 2021, 8:08 pmDon’t push too hard. Lol, My knees also hurt after squatting. I use warm towels for 10 mins before bed. Also ice pack if swelling. Drink lots of water. Sometimes just resting is better than stretching immediately. Be careful beta, body needs time to recover. Don’t ignore pain.

Quote from Lightsimile on September 11, 2021, 4:17 pmsick days are a myth for most of us; im pushing through the body aches right now because rent doesnt pause. just chugging electrolytes and taking ibuprofen every six hours like clockwork; if i feel feverish at work i step out to the parking lot to cool down. its not ideal but it keeps the check coming in; survive one day at a time.

Quote from Mintshell on June 27, 2021, 10:23 amHonestly i just stopped apologizing for it. My auntie sat me down and said my body is mine not his obligation. Now i just say no clearly without over explaining. If they get mad that’s on them. Also make sure you’re not just burnt out from kitchen duty all week. Rest is valid. Keep your boundaries firm sis.
