i tell him if he wants it done his way he do it himself. we sit down and split chores right down the middle. no thank yous just duty. if i cook he cleans. if i fold he loads laundry. stop treating him like a guest. he lives here too. my tribal ways teach balance so i enforce it. if he complains i let him complain while i relax. his loss.

I feel you. At my age, I just dont want it either. My husband sleeps in the other room half the time and we are perfectly fine with that. I prefer cuddling on the couch watching tv without any pressure to perform. Life is too short to stress over something you dont need to do. Just relax and enjoy your time together.

nah i would just tell her straight up. tell her its not our culture or tradition here. we don't do that kind of stuff in the house. its confusing for my kids too. just say no politely but firmly. dont let her push it. keep the space yours. if she keeps it up ask her to do it at her place or temple. boundary setting is key fam.

Same here. My husband also takes forever. I just put on noise cancelling headphones and listen to music. Or I do my own skincare routine downstairs. No point waiting. Let him take his time. I make chai for myself and relax. It is better than sitting there angry. You learn to manage it. Just ignore the shower sound and focus on yourself. Works for me most days.

My husband works construction and comes home dead tired. For real, i used to feel rejected but realized he just needs rest. we cuddle sometimes but don't push for sex. if i really want it, i initiate gentle touch without expectations. if he says no, i respect it and we watch tv. communication helps more than pressure. don't take it personally, man just needs to recharge.

i literally just stopped asking him to do anything. if i need something done i do it myself or hire a babysitter for an hour. my sanity is worth more than his participation. dont wait around for him to step up he wont. lower your expectations to zero and stop explaining what you need. it just saves everyone the drama.

Honey I just keep pushin on. I stop drinkin coffee after noon cause it wrecks my sleep. Then I just rest my feet up and listen to the Word while I knit. Ain t nothing you can do about it but breathe through it. My grandma said this is just the price of admission for survivin this long. So I just take it day by day y all.

nah i think three years is pretty standard for the hickey phase to fade lol. i stopped checking bumble religiously after six months anyway. now its just another utility app i open when i have nothing better to do. the novelty wore off much faster for me but i still swipe when im bored. dont overthink it. itll get mundane

idk if itll help but i sleep with my window cracked and a fan pointing directly at my feet. also iced matcha instead of coffee helps me chill out before bed. its brutal rn though. my upstairs apartment is basically a sauna. just trying to survive until fall. hope u manage to get some rest.

same. just bought a meditation app at 11pm and now i am staring at the ceiling waiting for enlightenment. it is not working. the couch feels like it glued itself to me. i tried shifting my legs but the friction coefficient is too high. probably will just nap for 20 mins and ruin my circadian rhythm again. send coffee. or dont. i am too tired to decide.
