Quote from Dreamer on July 17, 2020, 7:17 amAura is just a fancy word for burnout. I stare at my spreadsheet at 7pm and feel like a ghost haunting my own kitchen. Sleep helps. Also eating something that isnt granola. If you cant look in the mirror without screaming maybe take the day off. Work does not care if you glow.

Quote from marilyn1986 on February 11, 2020, 12:38 amSame here basically. Just moved for my husbands deployment this month. Doc says labs are perfect but i am dragging all day. I ended up checking my iron and vits too. Low iron was part of it. Also just standard military life burnout. Try adding straight iron supplements if you havent. Helps a bit at least until we settle in new base housing. Good luck

Quote from Sandy1985 on January 5, 2021, 12:44 amomg sis no you ain’t fd. i literally passed out in the squat rack once. it was embarrassing as hell but my heart just couldn’t keep up with the hype man in my head. just drink water, sit down, and breathe. nobody cares about you as much as you think they do. we all clowns in there anyway. take your time.

Quote from snowparade on March 20, 2021, 10:05 amyeah that sounds off. i run 3 miles outside daily and i’m fine after. maybe your pace is too high or the incline is tweaked weird. check your form too, shrugging shoulders drains you fast. i just keep it steady, breathe deep, and listen to my body. if it burns out quick, dial it down. dont push through that kind of fatigue.

Quote from SweetMeadow on October 8, 2021, 9:27 amHonestly not weird at all. We moved three times in two years so our bedroom setups have been half packed in boxes for months. Husband thinks I’m rejecting him, but I’m just exhausted. Most intimacy now is him falling asleep on the couch while I fold laundry. If I’m lucky we try for 10 minutes but usually it’s a nope from me. Just survive, don’t expect much until the kids actually leave the house.

Quote from creekfern on July 11, 2021, 7:18 amMy husband used to think that was plenty till I started scheduling other things. Now we do it twice a week or he gets left out. Not trying to be mean but if you dont prioritize it he will assume its low priority to you too. Communication is key, even if it feels awkward at first. Just set the expectation early.

Quote from thymelinen on July 30, 2021, 12:25 pmi lift 3x a week and the soreness is basically nonexistent after the first month. my form was terrible at first so i hurt like hell but now i just feel pumped. if you are super sore every time, you are probably doing too much or eating enough protein. also, foam rolling helps more than people admit.

Quote from Mosstally on January 12, 2021, 11:59 pmHonestly yeah i cancelled headspace last year. saved the money and just sit on my balcony with my phone in another room. 10 mins of staring at the void works just as well. apps are just a business model targeting anxious professionals. plus the constant notifications reminding you to meditate is ironic at best. keep it simple.

Quote from Sporewall on May 10, 2021, 7:56 pmOye girl, that sounds exhausting tbh. I swear, If he keeps bringing up his ex, I’m just straight up telling him stop right there. It’s disrespectful to me and weird for him. I’d say either leave the ghost in the past or I’m leaving. Seriously, why are you stuck listening to his drama? He needs to get his act together or find someone else to play therapist. No jokes.
