Hey everyone. Just needed to vent. I come home from the office at 6pm. My husband Rohan is on the sofa watching cricket. I made lunch for the kids and packed their tiffin for school. Now dinner time. I am cooking dal and sabzi in the kitchen. He walks in and says the food is too salty. He never helps with washing dishes or folding laundry. Yesterday I bought groceries from Whole Foods, spent 300 dollars. He didn't even look. My back hurts from standing so long. I feel like a servant in my own home. We have been married for 10 years. This is every day. I am so tired of doing everything alone. He complains about the air conditioning temperature but never lifts a finger. I just want to sleep but I have to clean up too. Has anyone else faced this? What do I do when he refuses to share the load?

Same thing happens here. We just gave her a specific corner with a small table and told her that’s the only spot. She put up a little shrine and now it’s her sacred space. I actually don’t mind it that much as long as the incense smell doesn’t drift into the kitchen while I’m cooking dinner. Just set boundaries early.

Dear girl let me tell you something i been doing this same thing since my children started school. I swear, I just keep my extra sweater in the car and drink tons of tea. My husband always says i catch colds like crazy. Just rest up dear. Dont push yourself too hard. I learned that the hard way years ago. Sending you big hugs.

yeah it is. i limit how many things i say yes to now. last week i just told a parent i cant help with their child after hours. felt so weird saying no but did it anyway. im done carrying everyone else emotional baggage while grading papers. just doing the bare minimum for anyone who isnt my immediate family these days.

honestly i stopped asking him to help. i just do what needs doing while he hangs out. if he complains about the mess i tell him to fix it himself or shut up. at this point his energy is not worth the fight. i save my mental peace for myself and my kids. let him live in the chaos he ignores. peace is more important than being right.

Don’t push too hard. My knees also hurt after squatting. I use warm towels for 10 mins before bed. Also ice pack if swelling. Drink lots of water. Sometimes just resting is better than stretching immediately. Be careful beta, body needs time to recover. Don’t ignore pain.

same. just bought a meditation app at 11pm and now i am staring at the ceiling waiting for enlightenment. it is not working. the couch feels like it glued itself to me. i tried shifting my legs but the friction coefficient is too high. probably will just nap for 20 mins and ruin my circadian rhythm again. send coffee. or dont. i am too tired to decide.

I get it. My husband was pushing hard too. I stopped overthinking the performance part and just told him we need low pressure. We switched to just touching without expecting penetration. Took the edge off for both of us. Now we actually want to be closer. Don’t force it if your body says no. Communication works better than ghosting through it. Just be honest.

Ugh that sounds so frustrating. My guy did the same thing, calling me crazy for wanting to talk while he was just scrolling on his phone. I stopped trying to fix it. I just told him I need him to be present or I’m gonna take my energy elsewhere. If he stays distant, mirror that. Don’t let him gaslight you into thinking you’re too much when he’s putting in zero effort. Keep it real with yourself.

oh man that sounds awful. i get terrible plantar fasciitis every winter. honestly just rolling a frozen water bottle under my arch for like 10 mins in the morning helps so much. also wear compression socks all day long. i used to ignore it till i couldn't walk straight too. just keep resting your feet when you can. hope you feel better soon
