Husband brought home flowers... and a 20, page document on my 'emotional labor'
Quote from Sweety1998 on October 7, 2024, 2:24 amsame. just bought a meditation app at 11pm and now i am staring at the ceiling waiting for enlightenment. it is not working. the couch feels like it glued itself to me. i tried shifting my legs but the friction coefficient is too high. probably will just nap for 20 mins and ruin my circadian rhythm again. send coffee. or dont. i am too tired to decide.

Quote from Truemist on May 27, 2024, 3:23 amHoney I feel you. I get it too. As soon as I think I am cured, boom, back to bed. I just keep a stash of chicken soup mix and extra blankets ready. I take my vitamins religiously now and try to sleep early. It is annoying but I just ride it out. Drink lots of water and stay warm. Hope you feel better soon love.

Quote from glowpilgrimage on October 22, 2024, 7:31 amdefinitely real. i’m 36 in tech, sit 10 hours a day, and got diagnosed last year. my doctor said it’s nerve sensitivity not just aging. i started doing gentle yoga and fixing my posture at work. helps a bit. don’t ignore it, get blood work done to rule out other stuff first. honestly the fatigue is the worst part, more than the pain.

Quote from Evelyn1994 on September 5, 2024, 10:13 amWell sugar, first you gotta find something to wear that ain't your church dress. I just started meeting folks for coffee at the local shop. Keep it short so you can bail if it gets awkward. Dont overthink it. If he cant hold a conversation about the weather or his dog, swipe left. I had a date last week who talked too much himself but hey, he paid for my latte so it wasnt a total loss.

Quote from Spiritleave on April 18, 2024, 12:11 amSame here. My ex wanted nonstop. Now I’m single and if a guy asks for more than once a week I’m out. I spend my free time napping, reading, or drinking wine on the patio. Zero sex drive since the divorce. If he’s tired he can go sleep. I had enough of being someone’s hobby. This peace is worth more than any hookup. Just let him figure it out.

Quote from Countryroad1989 on April 7, 2024, 4:58 pmI dont even try anymore. After watching my grandkids all day im drained. I used to feel guilty but now i just stretch in the living room while watching TV. Its enough movement for me honestly. If they are napping i might do some light yoga but thats it. Total surrender to the couch is the best plan.

Quote from calmocean on December 12, 2024, 1:09 amSame. I just walk fast around my neighborhood after clase. No gym, no counting macros, no expensive supplements. Just me and my thoughts. Sometimes I lift heavy boxes at work and thats enough resistance for me. I drink water and try to sleep 7 hours. If I feel like moving, I dance to bad bops in my room. Its not pretty but it keeps me sane. Why overcomplicate it when simply staying alive already takes so much effort?

Quote from janice1984 on November 18, 2024, 8:14 amHonestly I just stopped apologizing. My husband thinks I’m mad sometimes but I’m not. Just tired. Or bored. It’s okay. We cuddle instead. Or watch TV. I don’t force it. If I want to, it happens. If not, we sleep. My body isn’t a public service. Try that. It works for us. At least the guilt is gone for me.

Quote from Isabella1975 on May 18, 2024, 4:04 pmomg girl same here. I used to hate going solo too but now its my sacred time. I just put on my 90s salsa playlist and pretend the instructor is singing to me. It’s weirdly motivating. Plus no awkward small talk with neighbors who know my business. Just me and the mat vibes. Te entendi, is hard but once you get into it, nada can stop you.
