Husband brought home flowers... and a 20, page document on my 'emotional labor'
Quote from Betty1994 on October 17, 2023, 12:49 amomg same. just sit cross legged on a folded blanket instead of floor. keeps hips higher so less pressure on tailbone. i use old yoga mats cut up as extra cushions too. dont force posture if pain is there. just breathe and let body find comfort wherever that is today. sometimes less is more tbh.

Quote from Sam1991 on October 5, 2023, 12:18 amI just bought a good foam roller and use it every night while watching tv. Omg, Also switched to walking on the treadmill instead of the sidewalk. The incline helps a lot with my joints. My knees still hurt but its better than before. Taking ibuprofen only when it really hurts.

Quote from mistdove on July 15, 2023, 9:52 pmmy knees feel like lead too after driving all day. i just pop up every hour to stretch my legs and do some squats if i can. sometimes i put ice on them when i get home. its crazy how much sitting hurts older bodies. try not to stay in one spot for too long if you can help it. take care of yourself.

Quote from Woolmere on July 11, 2023, 7:18 amI stop buying water and snacks there. Margins are insane. I pack my own lunches and bring a reusable bottle. Gas stations are convenience stores first, not grocery stores. You pay for the impulse buy and the 24/7 access. If you really need something quick just grab the basics but dont expect to save money. I left my empty chip bag in the car last time trying to avoid the checkout line temptation.

Quote from Pinkleave on October 12, 2023, 7:38 amI just started throwing mine out. Waste is cheaper than the headache. If he wants lunch he can make it. I used to nag about it too but honestly I’m done fighting over food scraps. My sanity is worth more than a decent container of pasta. Just live with it or toss it.

Quote from true1978 on July 16, 2023, 11:51 amit is 11 pm and the house is dead quiet. my husband fell asleep on the couch at 930 pm with the tv still on. i just did laundry for the fourth time this week because the kids spill juice everywhere. i went to target today for a $2 cereal box and spent $80 on stuff i do not need. now i am sitting here drinking rooibos tea but i cannot relax. the air feels heavy. why does my home feel so cold and empty when my whole family is literally in the other room? i tried lighting a candle from ulta but it did not help. i just feel so drained. is this normal or am i just crazy?

Quote from Jessica1969 on January 17, 2023, 9:40 pmYeah it’s the divorce fatigue. I’m 46 and honestly just wrecked. Spent all day sorting through mail and thinking about alimony payments instead of actually living. My knees hurt from walking the dog and my brain feels foggy all day. Just drank iced coffee but still feel heavy. Not sure if it’s grief or just old age kicking in early.

Quote from Echotoken on June 5, 2023, 12:12 pmI pulled the plug on that nonsense years ago. If he says i am too sensitive while tossing out garbage, he gets told to take a hike. No explaining, no crying, just leaving the room. My peace is worth more than his ego. I dont waste breath arguing with someone who refuses to see reality. Y’all deserve better than walking on eggshells.

Quote from Boldriver2003 on June 29, 2024, 12:38 pmSame thing happens here. We just gave her a specific corner with a small table and told her that’s the only spot. She put up a little shrine and now it’s her sacred space. I actually don’t mind it that much as long as the incense smell doesn’t drift into the kitchen while I’m cooking dinner. Just set boundaries early.
