Husband brought home flowers... and a 20, page document on my 'emotional labor'
Quote from Thymeguard on July 1, 2021, 3:06 pmHonestly yes. For real, I immigrated here ten years ago and still hate treadmills. My wife makes me do 30 mins but I look forward to it like going to dentist. After 20 mins my legs are jelly. Maybe try walking on incline first. Or just walk outside in neighborhood. Less boring anyway. We are all tired from life already dont push too hard.

Quote from Warm1999 on June 16, 2021, 3:17 pmnah not weird at all i work two jobs up here in the hills and by the time i get home i just want to sit on the porch and stare at the mountains. my husband gets it too we are basically roommates sometimes and thats fine. dont let anyone make you feel guilty for being tired. rest is important.

Quote from Calm2003 on June 4, 2021, 2:22 pmI just go to the shed and sit for ten minutes. Doesn’t matter if it’s hot or cold, I need that silence. My husband stops by to yell at me about chores sometimes but I just ignore him till he leaves. Tells him if he wants peace, he needs to mind his own business. We’re in a small house so boundaries are tough but I don’t let him make me feel crazy for needing a break.

Quote from Craftqueen1972 on December 7, 2021, 11:27 amSame here basically. Honestly, Just moved for my husbands deployment this month. Doc says labs are perfect but i am dragging all day. I ended up checking my iron and vits too. Low iron was part of it. Also just standard military life burnout. Try adding straight iron supplements if you havent. Helps a bit at least until we settle in new base housing. Good luck

Quote from Fernflute on October 25, 2021, 10:03 pmhonestly same. i just go to stretch and scroll tiktok while sitting on the bench. half the machines are broken anyway so might as well chill. my arms are thick enough from carrying groceries and all my kids. yall spend twenty bucks to sit on a treadmill watching netflix? wild. i’d rather save the cash for lunch.

Quote from clifftempo on October 21, 2021, 3:22 pmnah it is totally possible i just turn 38 last week and my energy levels are actually higher than they were in my twenties. Ngl, i stopped eating processed sugar and started lifting heavy weights 4 days a week. also sleep matters so much more now. if u are sleeping 6 hours and drinking lattes all day yeah ur gonna feel dead. change the routine and the energy comes back simple as that

Quote from bravechime on May 15, 2021, 1:17 pmHonestly I think it’s both. My knees hurt all the time but my spirit feels heavy too. I just sit on the porch with my coffee and let God handle the worry. Y’all need to rest more. Not everything needs fixing today. Just breathe and take it one hour at a time. I’m trying to stop doing so much for everybody else.

Quote from cloudchime on May 11, 2021, 2:29 amsame thing happens to me every time i pick up my toddler. For real, my lower back just locks up. i usually just lie down on the floor with a hot water bottle on it for like 15 mins. also try not to bend from the waist, squat down instead. it helps a bit but honestly just need rest. sending love mama.
