Quote from Rootisland on January 24, 2026, 10:38 pmi feel that. moving every few years makes it hard to stick with a routine or find good spots. ive been lifting heavy and just focusing on strength instead of the scale number. the scale goes up bc muscle weighs more but i look leaner and feel stronger. honestly ignoring the number is the only thing that helps me not hate the gym. just keep showing up.

Quote from Gentleforest1971 on January 26, 2026, 5:28 pmit is 11 pm and the house is dead quiet. my husband fell asleep on the couch at 930 pm with the tv still on. i just did laundry for the fourth time this week because the kids spill juice everywhere. i went to target today for a $2 cereal box and spent $80 on stuff i do not need. now i am sitting here drinking rooibos tea but i cannot relax. the air feels heavy. why does my home feel so cold and empty when my whole family is literally in the other room? i tried lighting a candle from ulta but it did not help. i just feel so drained. is this normal or am i just crazy?

Quote from Calmaction on October 29, 2025, 3:09 pmHonestly not weird at all. We moved three times in two years so our bedroom setups have been half packed in boxes for months. Husband thinks I’m rejecting him, but I’m just exhausted. Most intimacy now is him falling asleep on the couch while I fold laundry. If I’m lucky we try for 10 minutes but usually it’s a nope from me. Just survive, don’t expect much until the kids actually leave the house.

Quote from Pinkjewel on May 13, 2026, 9:43 pmYeah totally normal. My man does this all the time. He just shuts up and goes outside or looks at his phone. I used to think something was wrong but then i figured out he just needs space to recharge. Now i just let him be. If i bother him he gets cranky so i just go do my own thing too. Its peaceful actually.

Quote from oceanbreeze2001 on February 11, 2026, 6:39 ami use heating pads and witch hazel compresses when the pain gets bad. also trying to walk barefoot on grass helps ground me and loosen up my joints. my grandma taught me to rub warm olive oil mixed with clove oil into the knees before bed. it’s not a cure but it takes the edge off without numbing me out. keep moving gentle don’t let it sit still too long.

Quote from dreamer1971 on July 28, 2025, 4:37 amyeah it is. i’m biracial from chicago and i hate the gym bc it feels so performative. i just do yoga at home listening to hyperpop playlists now. sometimes i skip it entirely bc my anxiety about doing it right paralyzes me. honestly walking around the l loop in my winter coat feels like enough movement for me right now. no shame.

Quote from Teresa1965 on April 15, 2026, 12:05 pmHonestly i just stopped apologizing for it. My auntie sat me down and said my body is mine not his obligation. Now i just say no clearly without over explaining. If they get mad that’s on them. Also make sure you’re not just burnt out from kitchen duty all week. Rest is valid. Keep your boundaries firm sis.

Quote from dogmom2002 on August 16, 2026, 4:25 amI do the same thing lol. Hot water is sacred healing after dealing with kids and work all day. If he needs that reset time to just be quiet and clean, let him have it. I usually go in after him so the bathroom stays warm. Just enjoy your own peace while he’s in there. It’s not about control, it’s about survival.
