Grandma's spirit animal showed up on my porch... and left a feather.
Quote from Fieldmere on November 20, 2023, 2:06 amhonestly it sounds like my wake up call at 5 am lol. i used to think i was being dramatic but my doc checked my iron levels and they were low. game changer. we really do just expect ourselves to run on fumes these days. have you asked your dr to check your thyroid or vitamins lately? worth a shot even if u just want to nap more.

Quote from Honeydew1970 on November 6, 2024, 4:50 ami dont believe in auras but i know what burnout feels like. if you cant function through your day its exhaustion not a spiritual crisis. i took a mental health day this week just to sleep and eat real food. no screens. you need rest not a cleanse. drop whatever isnt urgent and go lie down. your body is screaming at you to stop. listen to it.

Quote from pearlivy on July 27, 2024, 6:41 amHonestly yeah i cancelled headspace last year. saved the money and just sit on my balcony with my phone in another room. 10 mins of staring at the void works just as well. apps are just a business model targeting anxious professionals. plus the constant notifications reminding you to meditate is ironic at best. keep it simple.

Quote from Sugarplum2002 on November 25, 2024, 2:19 amYeah totally normal. My husband does the same after work. He just sits on the porch and stares at the trees or works on his truck. I dont bother him. It gives him space to chill so hes not grumpy later. Some guys just need that quiet time to decompress. I get my own time too. We both respect it. It works for us.

Quote from Emberring on August 7, 2024, 5:34 pmim done with the whole find god thing honestly. Honestly, its exhausting trying to fit into someone else's version of spirituality. i just go to the river, sit in silence, and let the water do the talking. no rituals, no forcing it. sometimes the earth is enough. rest is its own form of prayer for me right now.

Quote from Petalwhisper on February 29, 2024, 6:22 pmHe’s projecting. When my ex did that, i stopped trying to read his mind. I just kept doing my thing. If he wants to talk, great. If not, i’m not gonna sit here anxious while he ignores me. You teach kids all day, you have enough emotional labor to do. Don’t give your energy away to someone who isn’t showing up. Just focus on your own routine and see if he steps up.

Quote from Bluebirdsky1991 on March 12, 2024, 3:32 amI stopped swiping after two years because my thumb hurt more than my heart. Just dumped the apps last month. Started going to the feed store and talking to guys who buy grain. Met a nice fella last week, slow and steady. You dont need the dopamine hit. Real life is slower but better. Go touch grass instead.

Quote from jessica1999 on October 27, 2024, 7:46 ammy husband used to say the same thing back in our twenties. i just stopped asking him what he wanted for dinner and started making whatever i felt like eating. he either eats it or he makes his own. honestly it’s been way less stressful since i stopped trying to recreate my mom’s exact recipes. my food is just mine now.
