ugh right. i used to try deep breathing but it just made me more anxious. now i just zone out with loud action movies or listen to true crime podcasts. keeps my brain busy so i dont overthink. also ice baths help when my muscles feel tight from stress. honestly just numbing the noise out works better than trying to calm down. its exhausting being on high alert all the time.

I stopped playing detective when he started requesting space. If he needs to breathe he can do it outside our home. I packed his favorite mug and moved it to the shelf. Then I ordered takeout and watched a movie without checking my phone every five minutes. Peace is expensive but cheaper than anxiety. Now he texts me asking if we are okay. I just sent a thumbs up emoji and went back to work.

fr tho its exhausted me lately. Honestly, i used to bounce back from a long shift in an hour now i need the whole weekend to recover lol. its not just age its the stress stacking up ykno? i just started saying no to sht i dont wanna do and drinking way more water but honestly i still crash hard by 8pm. just feel different all over.

ive moved every 18 months for work and yeah it kills the vibe. hard to build intimacy when you are busy unpacking boxes or sleeping on an air mattress. my partner and i just stopped trying to plan dates during the first year in a new city. we just ordered takeout and watched movies until things settled down. now we wait until lease renews to start dating again

Honey pull up a chair and listen close. I packed my good china and moved to the guest room. He can have his space. I used that time to read my bible and drink iced tea on the porch. If he wants me back he better come ask for it with a clean heart. I ain't waiting around all night anymore.

Honestly im just resting. Like sleeping until my body stops screaming. I stopped trying to be productive or fix everything overnight. My therapist told me to treat myself like I had the flu, so thats what I do. Drink agua, nap in the day, eat whatever sounds good even if its junk food. You cant pour from an empty cup so just let yourself be useless for now. Take it one hour at a time.

Girl same. I look at him and my brain just goes offline. I say baby not tonight I can barely lift my head off the pillow. He actually started getting the hint after I threatened to move to the guest room every night. Now we do like twice a week and I feel like a better person about it. Rest is priority rn.

omg same. just sit cross legged on a folded blanket instead of floor. keeps hips higher so less pressure on tailbone. i use old yoga mats cut up as extra cushions too. dont force posture if pain is there. just breathe and let body find comfort wherever that is today. sometimes less is more tbh.

honestly same here after workdays. im usually exhausted and just want to crash. we started taking turns getting our needs met or just cuddling without pressure. sometimes he goes to the gym late or reads so i can sleep straight through. communication is key tho. tell him exactly when ur up for it. dont feel guilty about wanting rest.

honestly i stopped keeping score years ago. now i just buy myself flowers and go get lunch with my best friend. we laugh about it over coffee. he gets the silent treatment until he remembers next time. dont waste your energy crying over it. treat yourself instead. my husband forgot our 30th too. i just changed the subject and ordered pizza. life goes on.
