Finally admitting: my kid inherited my dad’s ‘I’ll nap in any chair’ gene

Just got back from Target’s dollar spot, where they had this adorable little rainbow stacking cups my almost four, year, old insisted on buying. I swear, this kid has a sixth sense for when the dollar store has something new, and suddenly our living room looks like a craft store exploded.

I’m trying to keep things low, waste, but between the random dollar, store toys and the fact that she somehow already outgrew her last pair of sneakers from Gap, I’m starting to wonder if sustainability with kids is just a myth. Does anyone else feel like you’re constantly playing catch, up, like life is just one step ahead of your good intentions? Daycare sends home glitter projects, the Target clearance section calls my name, and somehow we’re still running out of toilet paper by Wednesday. How do you balance the chaos without losing your mind?
