it is 11 pm and the house is dead quiet. my husband fell asleep on the couch at 930 pm with the tv still on. i just did laundry for the fourth time this week because the kids spill juice everywhere. i went to target today for a $2 cereal box and spent $80 on stuff i do not need. now i am sitting here drinking rooibos tea but i cannot relax. the air feels heavy. why does my home feel so cold and empty when my whole family is literally in the other room? i tried lighting a candle from ulta but it did not help. i just feel so drained. is this normal or am i just crazy?

Ugh, yeah that's so annoying. I usually just put my headphones on super loud and pretend I don't see them. Sometimes I even make eye contact and just hold it till they look away lol. Works pretty good for me.

Honestly I think it’s both. My knees hurt all the time but my spirit feels heavy too. I just sit on the porch with my coffee and let God handle the worry. Y’all need to rest more. Not everything needs fixing today. Just breathe and take it one hour at a time. I’m trying to stop doing so much for everybody else.

I had to stop signing up for team sports where everyone relies on me to show up. Now I just go run by myself before work. If people dont wanna meet me outside, they can wait in the car or stay home. My workout is my workout. I dont have time or energy to babysit grown adults through their fitness journeys. It is exhausting and pointless. I focus on my pace and my goals only. Boundaries helped more than any new routine ever did.

honestly yeah. im just hitting the gym hard rn. nothing fixes my spiraling like lifting heavy weights til i cant breathe. then i go home, eat some good food from abuela, and watch trash tv. simple routine. not trying to be spiritual or anything just need to shut my brain off for a bit. its kinda loud in here sometimes.

same here. i label my leftovers with my name and the date in big marker. if he eats them he knows he messed up. started doing that last month and honestly it stopped. men are simple creatures. they just need a clear boundary drawn for them lol. now i just keep mine in the top shelf so he cant even see them

Honestly same here. I used to force myself to meditate for twenty minutes every morning and it just felt like another item on my to, do list. Now I just read one chapter of a book before bed. No pressure, no timer, just me and the story. If I miss a night, I dont sweat it. It stopped feeling like a chore once I stopped treating it like a performance and just kept it ridiculously low stakes.

i stopped watching the sugar content in my water. honestly at this point i just drink tap water with lemon or plain seltzer. i am doing statins anyway so my diet is whatever doesnt make me late for work. dont stress it. the cholesterol meds are cheap and effective. just take them and move on with your day.

Honestly I just stop trying to rush everything. I used to think moving fast meant getting more done but it just meant I was tired and mad. Now I walk slower, take longer lunches, and dont answer emails right away. My cholesterol is better and my hair is healthier. Slow down sis, nobody is counting your steps except the people trying to sell you shoes.

I stopped playing detective when he started requesting space. Omg, If he needs to breathe he can do it outside our home. I packed his favorite mug and moved it to the shelf. Then I ordered takeout and watched a movie without checking my phone every five minutes. Peace is expensive but cheaper than anxiety. Now he texts me asking if we are okay. I just sent a thumbs up emoji and went back to work.
