Chronic pain management
Quote from pamela1985 on November 28, 2022, 2:09 amMan that is rough. Honestly we do a chore chart every Sunday night. Pretty much treats it like work shifts. He got the evening shift until 8 then I take over. It ain't always perfect but it helps split the mental load. If he ghosts his shift we talk about it the next day no yelling just facts. You gotta set boundaries early or it never changes.

Quote from Ironstub on August 13, 2022, 4:32 amthree years is forever honestly. Ngl, i’ve been off apps for two years now. my tribe taught me patience is good but not sitting around waiting for magic. i go to classes and meet people through friends. if he can’t commit in that time he’s just using the app for ego. stop waiting. keep living your life.

Quote from Abigail1996 on February 12, 2022, 12:32 amsame here. my bhaiya used to shout from office all day. i just wear earphones and say mind bolna. after 10 years he realized i am not ignoring him but just tired. now he keeps his voice low when i am home. it took time but patience works. dont fight with him daily. just stay quiet and do my kaam. slowly he will understand.

Quote from Tina1996 on January 16, 2022, 4:18 pmnah i think three years is pretty standard for the hickey phase to fade lol. i stopped checking bumble religiously after six months anyway. now its just another utility app i open when i have nothing better to do. the novelty wore off much faster for me but i still swipe when im bored. dont overthink it. itll get mundane

Quote from rootditch on May 11, 2022, 8:58 amnah that sounds like he just wants to talk down to u. in my culture we respect elders but partners should talk equal. if he calls u sensitive for asking him to change his tone, he’s dodging accountability. i’d just leave the room when he starts like that. dont let him gaslight u into thinking ur valid feelings are wrong. ur not crazy for wanting basic respect from a partner.

Quote from Echoestuary on April 17, 2023, 8:22 pmHonestly he sounds typical desi husband type. After work he just sits on sofa with phone. I tell him behave like normal human being. Sometimes we just sit together drinking chai saying nothing and it is okay. But if silence means he ignores you completely that is red flag. Talk to him clearly about what you need. Don't guess his feelings.

Quote from amanda1983 on September 21, 2023, 3:39 pmI get it. At 47, i assumed sleep was free but it really ain’t. I cut coffee after 10am and started taking magnesium before bed. Also checking my iron levels. Sometimes it’s just bad habits. Try going to bed 30 mins earlier and no phone in bed. Just straight sleep.

Quote from Barbara1965 on August 21, 2023, 2:36 pmit is 11 pm and the house is dead quiet. my husband fell asleep on the couch at 930 pm with the tv still on. i just did laundry for the fourth time this week because the kids spill juice everywhere. i went to target today for a $2 cereal box and spent $80 on stuff i do not need. now i am sitting here drinking rooibos tea but i cannot relax. the air feels heavy. why does my home feel so cold and empty when my whole family is literally in the other room? i tried lighting a candle from ulta but it did not help. i just feel so drained. is this normal or am i just crazy?

Quote from sunlitrain1967 on October 16, 2023, 3:08 pmHonestly same here. My guy works long hours too and comes home completely drained. I learned to just not make it a big deal. Sometimes we cuddle and call it a day. Other times he showers and we try later when hes a bit more rested. Just accept it and focus on other ways to connect like cooks dinner together or watching a show. No pressure is key for us.

Quote from Pamela1966 on September 26, 2023, 1:56 pmOh honey it is real. I got diagnosed at 52 and my husband thought I was just getting old. Lord knows I ain't. I take my meds, stretch in the morning, and rest when my body screams. It’s a drag but you’re not crazy. Keep going sister.
