anyone else feel like garbage after turning 60 ??
Quote from Trueseaside1995 on February 14, 2019, 6:10 amI just had my 63rd birthday last week. I thought I would feel proud. I felt wrecked. Last Tuesday I went to Target at nine AM. I just wanted some bread and milk. By the time I got to the parking lot my knees were throbbing. I sat in the car for ten minutes just catching my breath. My granddaughter texted me that night asking why I was sleeping in. I told her I was tired. She said I am always tired now. It stings a bit. I used to run five miles every morning. Now I can barely walk to the mailbox without stopping. The doctor says it is normal aging. I buy ibuprofen at Walgreens every other day. It costs four dollars. It helps for a few hours. Then the ache comes back. Does anyone else feel this heavy all the time or am I just lazy now.

Quote from Poolwave on January 13, 2020, 11:33 pmhonestly that is wild. i dont smell anything different but my guy says i smell like vanilla when Im pregnant. weird how bodies change. i just take extra showers and use unscented soap to be safe. dont let him drive you crazy over something you cant control. just wash up and go about your day. its not your fault.

Quote from Creekdale on November 13, 2020, 6:57 amYeah I get that. Ngl, My back is wrecked every night. I stop and breathe before I lift them off the ground. Keep em low. Also stretch my hamstrings before bed or I cant sleep. Just drink water and ice it later. Dont try to power through the pain or youll be out for a week.

Quote from Warmgarden1979 on March 3, 2020, 9:02 pmim so there. kept an old fashioned hot water bottle by my bed all night. just put it on while i was still warm. by the time i needed it for the kid, it was ready. saves having to run back to the bathroom. also got a stash of fever reducers in the kids room. you dont want to hunt in the dark. drink some tea. take turns if he has a sitter.

Quote from wild1987 on February 19, 2020, 6:11 ammire, es pura verguenza ajena i miedo de ser judged. For real, Me siento ridiula carrying 15lbs when everyone else lifts 50. Plus, my ego says i look strong but cant prove it. La primer week was brutal. Now just show up, grab the dumbbell, and ignore the gym bros staring. No hay drama, solo sudor. Si te da pena, hazlo en casa first.

Quote from Karen1984 on January 26, 2020, 2:21 ammy joints hurt so bad i cant even sleep straight anymore. divorce wrecked my cortisol levels i guess. i just ice my knees and take ibuprofen. doctors keep telling me its stress but i feel like my bones are breaking. i just want to lay still without pain for like an hour. its exhausting being a functional human again.

Quote from Ann1992 on October 22, 2020, 2:40 amwe moved 3 times last year. my husband thinks moving boxes is mans work but folding shirts is mine. i let the living room pile up. he complained once then carried the trash to curb himself. dont cook fancy food on day 1. order pizza. if house isnt perfect but kids are fed and beds are made thats win in my book. survival mode is real for immigrant moms.

Quote from silverlight on November 29, 2021, 6:17 pmdefinitely real. i’m 36 in tech, sit 10 hours a day, and got diagnosed last year. my doctor said it’s nerve sensitivity not just aging. i started doing gentle yoga and fixing my posture at work. helps a bit. don’t ignore it, get blood work done to rule out other stuff first. honestly the fatigue is the worst part, more than the pain.

Quote from Soft1967 on July 9, 2021, 4:15 pmi literally just drink so much water and take a huge scoop of magnesium glycinate before bed. I swear, sitting all day kills my digestion for sure. also force myself to walk for 10 mins every 2 hours even if i dont wanna get up. its annoying but it keeps things moving. try peppermint tea too if you cant sleep.
