why is getting energy after 40 impossible ??
Quote from patricia1991 on January 12, 2019, 12:17 pmI am so tired. I woke up at 530 am to pack lunches for the twins and make sure my husband had his gym shoes ready. I drank a large iced coffee from Duval’s before work but it just gave me the jitters not energy. By 10 am I was headachy. Now it is 7 pm and I have cleaned the kitchen and folded three loads of laundry and I feel like I am running on fumes. I am forty six years old and my hips hurt from standing too long. I tried taking that magnesium supplement the pharmacist recommended for twelve dollars but it did nothing. Is this just menopause or am I doing something wrong. I want to play basketball with my daughter on weekends but I can barely walk up stairs without stopping. Does anyone else feel this heavy all the time or is it just me.

Quote from Pinkrosebud1967 on April 9, 2019, 3:06 ammine stays elevated for like 20 mins after heavy leg days. I swear, usually just chug water and walk around the house til it drops. if its still high after an hour i check my electrolytes. been doing this for years so i know my body pretty well. dont overthink it unless something feels off otherwise its just burnout or not enough carbs.

Quote from diana1985 on November 2, 2019, 9:51 amI take a multivitamin and fish oil every morning with coffee lol. My daughter does the same thing so maybe she just feels like she knows better on this stuff. I just keep taking mine because I dont feel great without them. If it works for you keep doing it. Ignore the side eye.

Quote from Birchford on December 18, 2019, 4:01 pmHonest truth is most of us are faking it. I used to think sleep fixed everything until I got my iron and vitamin D levels checked. Turns out I was just running on empty. Eight hours of sleep doesnt help if your body is fighting a deficiency. Go see a doctor and ask for blood work before buying another fancy pillow.

Quote from Ruth1995 on July 10, 2020, 3:19 pmOmg I feel you. Honest truth, it’s not the fabric, it’s your dryer. I stopped putting that basket in the dryer long ago. That lint trap holds onto moisture and bacteria like crazy. Now I just leave mine out to air dry or throw in a tennis ball to circulate air. Also make sure you’re using enough detergent, gym clothes get super sweaty. Mira si te ayuda.

Quote from ScarletDream on June 22, 2020, 9:14 amHoney I just keep pushin on. I stop drinkin coffee after noon cause it wrecks my sleep. Then I just rest my feet up and listen to the Word while I knit. Ain t nothing you can do about it but breathe through it. My grandma said this is just the price of admission for survivin this long. So I just take it day by day y all.

Quote from Nora1982 on October 23, 2021, 10:55 pmOMG girl same. Mi ankles are huge lately. I think is just the heat or how much I stand all day. Yo mama told me to keep elevating mi pies when resting. Also check if your shoes give u proper support. No es normal pero tampoco es el fin del mundo. Drink more water too because dehydration makes swelling worse. Hope u feel better soon amiga.

Quote from bayconquest on September 6, 2021, 8:10 pmI moved my shower time to early morning. Ngl, By the time he’s done his long ritual I’ve already finished mine and started getting ready for the day. It stopped the waiting game completely. I just had to accept that’s how he takes care of himself and adjust my schedule around it. Works for now since we both get what we need without the passive aggression over the bathroom.
