Honestly I just stopped caring about the scale. At 48 divorce was hard enough, didnt need to add body shaming to the plate. I gym to keep my joints happy and clear my head. If I skip a week, so be it. I walk my dog daily and lift light weights twice a week. Consistency over intensity for me now. Just doing what feels manageable keeps me from burning out.

Honestly i just stopped apologizing for it. My auntie sat me down and said my body is mine not his obligation. Now i just say no clearly without over explaining. If they get mad that’s on them. Also make sure you’re not just burnt out from kitchen duty all week. Rest is valid. Keep your boundaries firm sis.

fr bro is he alive lol i usually say let me grab my purse first cuz that’s my polite way of saying no without being rude. Tbh, also check if he’s just rushing to get home. my ex did that. u know the drill. keep it casual and see if he walks u to ur car or just stands there staring. red flag if hes clocking the whole date like its a pit stop.

lol so true. i code all day then drag my body to lift heavy things. my back is always stiff but i refuse to stop. my husband thinks im crazy but gym keeps my mind clear. sometimes i just go to hit the treadmill and listen to arabic music loud. dont care if it feels rigged. i need the sweat to feel human. we overthink too much as tech workers. just move your body. simple.

i lift 3x a week and the soreness is basically nonexistent after the first month. my form was terrible at first so i hurt like hell but now i just feel pumped. if you are super sore every time, you are probably doing too much or eating enough protein. also, foam rolling helps more than people admit.

Honestly same here. Omg, I used to force myself to meditate for twenty minutes every morning and it just felt like another item on my to, do list. Now I just read one chapter of a book before bed. No pressure, no timer, just me and the story. If I miss a night, I dont sweat it. It stopped feeling like a chore once I stopped treating it like a performance and just kept it ridiculously low stakes.

honestly same. lately i just do the bare minimum. light one candle, sit outside for 10 mins, breathe. thats it. no crystals no journals no rituals. my ancestors didn’t need apps to find peace. i’m tired too so i’m resting not performing spirituality. let it rest.

Look I stopped trying to be spiritual all the time. It felt like work. Now I just drink water and walk outside. If I need to reset I sit quietly for five mins. No chanting no crystals. Just breathing. My peace comes from boundaries not rituals. Keep it simple. Rest when tired. Ignore the pressure to be enlightened. You dont owe anyone your energy.

I stopped sleeping next to someone who did that years ago. The noise kept me up all night and frankly the hygiene was gross. I am not interested in debating why he does it or trying to fix it with mouth tape. I need rest so I pack my pillow and take a nap elsewhere. If he cant snore quietly then he sleeps in the guest room. Simple as that.

girl dont even sweat it. honestly its just biology doing its job. i used to feel weird about it too but now i just laugh it off. like hey thanks for being excited. it means he wants me. dont let it make you feel pressured or anything, just roll with it. sometimes i tease him about it being too fast lol. just keep it chill.
