trying to keep up with my kids on the playground is exhausting
Quote from Wavefable on February 19, 2020, 7:50 pmI went to Target at 5 pm because I needed cheap juice boxes and forgot how tired I get by then. My son wanted to climb the big wooden structure. I just stood there holding my keys and my melting ice cream. It was sticky. I tried to run after him when he slid down the blue pole but my knees hurt from standing all day at the elementary school. I felt so slow. He is eight and I am thirty six and I keep stopping to catch my breath. Other moms are lifting their babies up and down like it is nothing. I just want to sit on the bench and drink my latte but it is cold now. Do you guys actually run around or do you pretend?

Quote from Sara1989 on September 30, 2020, 11:55 pmHonestly I just sit on the bench with my coffee and watch. They can climb the whole structure without me. I tried running around too when they were little but my knees gave out. Now I just yell if they get stuck. My back hurts enough from carrying groceries. Let them be independent already. I need to rest, not play.

Quote from Sunny1987 on June 8, 2020, 10:32 pmHonestly I just survived on cheap coffee and silence first few months. Stop trying to be productive. My in laws still call daily so i muted their numbers. Go walk outside even if just around block. Eat whatever you want no guilt. One day at a time. If crying helps do it. Dont force yourself to be happy yet. Just exist.

Quote from Amber1990 on April 9, 2020, 11:08 amomg i feel u. honestly ive just stopped overcomplicating it. i wash my face with cetaphil, put on cerave moisturizer, and thats it. no fancy serums or masks. sometimes my skin just needs a break all the products. drink more water too because dehydration makes it worse for real. hang in there sis it gets better.

Quote from Raintavern on June 16, 2020, 1:46 ammy joints hurt so bad i cant even sleep straight anymore. divorce wrecked my cortisol levels i guess. i just ice my knees and take ibuprofen. doctors keep telling me its stress but i feel like my bones are breaking. i just want to lay still without pain for like an hour. its exhausting being a functional human again.

Quote from Soft1983 on August 6, 2020, 1:31 pmOmg I feel you. Honest truth, it’s not the fabric, it’s your dryer. I stopped putting that basket in the dryer long ago. That lint trap holds onto moisture and bacteria like crazy. Now I just leave mine out to air dry or throw in a tennis ball to circulate air. Also make sure you’re using enough detergent, gym clothes get super sweaty. Mira si te ayuda.

Quote from christine1997 on February 12, 2020, 9:47 pmyup same. i do high impact stuff so my knees are basically shot. after sunday service i literally have to ice them for an hour straight. it sucks but hey, pain is temporary right. just keep moving and take some ibuprofen if you have to. dont let it stop you from hitting the gym tomorrow. we got this.

Quote from Sara2001 on February 17, 2021, 11:55 pmi feel that. my husband used to think once a week was totally fine. honestly? yeah。 we just stopped scheduling it. now its whenever we actually want to。 turns out spontaneity matters more than a rigid calendar。 if he isnt asking for more maybe he just isnt turned on by the routine。

Quote from Frostepic on February 13, 2021, 10:51 amSame here honestly. After 2 kids, my energy is basically zero after work. I dont even think about it most days. We just sleep next to each other and thats it. Sometimes we try but im too tired so i say no. It has been like this for years now. I guess it is normal for us moms. My husband understands mostly but sometimes gets quiet about it.
