the heat is killing me and i cant sleep
Quote from rebecca1973 on October 21, 2024, 7:31 pmit is 11 pm and the house is dead quiet. my husband fell asleep on the couch at 930 pm with the tv still on. i just did laundry for the fourth time this week because the kids spill juice everywhere. i went to target today for a $2 cereal box and spent $80 on stuff i do not need. now i am sitting here drinking rooibos tea but i cannot relax. the air feels heavy. why does my home feel so cold and empty when my whole family is literally in the other room? i tried lighting a candle from ulta but it did not help. i just feel so drained. is this normal or am i just crazy?

Quote from Carol1975 on April 25, 2024, 5:32 amsame here. my bhaiya used to shout from office all day. i just wear earphones and say mind bolna. after 10 years he realized i am not ignoring him but just tired. now he keeps his voice low when i am home. it took time but patience works. dont fight with him daily. just stay quiet and do my kaam. slowly he will understand.

Quote from Lightmine on August 25, 2024, 2:51 amHonestly same. I stopped trying to touch my toes years ago. Now I just do gentle stretches in the morning so I dont feel like a rusted robot during the day. At 48 my body tells me no every single time. Just accept it and find what works without pain. Yoga taught me to listen to my limits not push past them.

Quote from Pearlreservoir on August 12, 2024, 5:14 pmI literally just told my man to take over every other weekend. No negotiation. If he wants to be a dad, he steps up. I used to do everything too until I got so tired I just stopped caring. Now he handles bedtime and laundry on his days. It’s not fair but it’s necessary for my sanity. Just set the boundary baby.

Quote from Feathershow on August 30, 2024, 5:13 amhonestly it makes me so mad because i did all the planning last year and he just got a gift card. i don’t care about the date itself but the lack of effort stings. i usually just make a big mess in the kitchen to remind him. it’s stupid but i need that acknowledgment. also semicolons are fun

Quote from Softpetal1981 on November 10, 2024, 8:54 pmUgh that sucks. My ex used to do the same thing. I just stopped engaging. If he says something wild I’d either walk away or say whatever’s on my mind directly. No more tiptoeing. It’s exhausting trying to manage his ego. Honestly if he can’t respect your feelings he’s not worth the stress. Sorry u’re dealing with it.

Quote from Moonbeam2003 on July 6, 2024, 4:56 pmOye girl, that sounds exhausting tbh. If he keeps bringing up his ex, I’m just straight up telling him stop right there. It’s disrespectful to me and weird for him. I’d say either leave the ghost in the past or I’m leaving. Seriously, why are you stuck listening to his drama? He needs to get his act together or find someone else to play therapist. No jokes.

Quote from Karen1975 on August 23, 2026, 12:00 amThat sounds like a lot of work. I keep my husband happy on weekends so I can sleep in during the week. We also have kids so weekends are basically for family time anyway. If he wants that much energy maybe he can focus on his own hobbies. Honestly I just want to rest too. My body gets tired from work and looking after the house.

Quote from jewelmetaphor on August 13, 2025, 5:48 amy'all drink water after that sweat session? i always forget and end up crashing. also make sure yer eating enough protein right after. i had to train myself to snack on greek yogurt immediately. my body needed the fuel. rest is important too but hunger hits harder than i thought. try it out.

Quote from Redfirefly1990 on July 6, 2025, 5:34 ami just accept the mess. when i feel like im crumbling i sit on my porch with cold coffee and watch the wind. no fixing, no journaling, just sitting. sometimes i cry till im bored. then i get up and make breakfast. the shedding happens whether i force it or not. just breathe through the ugliest part and let your body do what it needs to do. its messy but its real.
