hon i set clear boundaries day one. told her house rules include no rituals in living spaces. she can do it in her own place or outside. simple as that. been married 12 years, never had issues since. if you dont speak up they just keep doing it. be direct but polite. my dad in law handles the stuff now. works for us.

he’s prob just high on the smoke lol. i burn white sage daily to clear my space so i always carry that scent. it’s not pheromones men it’s respect for the medicine. if he can’t handle the realness of your practice then he’s not right for you. don’t let him make you feel weird about your traditions. keep smudging.

i just go in my hoodies and noise cancelling headphones. keep the world out. i dont care if anyone looks. im there to sweat, not to perform. if someone gets in my way i just move. its really that simple. the anxiety is just my mind making up stories before i even step foot in the door. once i start moving it goes away.

yeah totally. you never really relax when you know your lease is up in six months. i got tired of the drama so i stayed put for three years. finally got into a routine and a bf showed up. moving every other year just feels like you are on probation somewhere. hard to invite anyone over when you are half packed

lol same. i literally had to drag myself outta bed bc my phone was nagging me. felt like violence tbh. ended up just walking around the block once and calling it done. some days the body just says no and i respect that. guilt is real but so is exhaustion. im definitely restin instead of forcing it today. hope ur ok tho.

Honey I just started with walking. Ngl, My knees dont allow for much else anyway. I put on my good shoes and go round the block after supper. That 15 minutes is better than nothing. Dont stress about weights or running, just get moving. My pastor says God gave us legs to use em so I do my part and let Him handle the rest. Yall keep at it.

Honey, mine is dead too. Lol, My husband snores like a chainsaw so we just sleep. Honestly, I find more joy being alone with a glass of wine or reading a book. It's just life at this stage. Don't beat yourself up about it. We're grandmas now, not models. Enjoy the peace and quiet.

nah i would just tell her straight up. tell her its not our culture or tradition here. we don't do that kind of stuff in the house. its confusing for my kids too. just say no politely but firmly. dont let her push it. keep the space yours. if she keeps it up ask her to do it at her place or temple. boundary setting is key fam.

Yeah it ain’t just you. My knees sound like crunchy cereal every morning. I started wearing compression sleeves and cutting back on high impact stuff. Yoga helps too but omg the stairs are painful. Just keep moving so they don’t lock up completely. Drink plenty of water and stretch. We’ll be spry forever or at least pretend to be.

Honestly yes. I immigrated here ten years ago and still hate treadmills. My wife makes me do 30 mins but I look forward to it like going to dentist. After 20 mins my legs are jelly. Maybe try walking on incline first. Or just walk outside in neighborhood. Less boring anyway. We are all tired from life already dont push too hard.
