Quote from fairdew on November 11, 2025, 12:53 ammy husband is the same way. we just sit watch tv and hold hands. he says its enough to feel close. i tried talking more but he gets shut down. so now i just lean into it. sometimes silence is better than fake words. dont force convo if hes not there. just sit with him. it works for us even if it feels weird at first. trust the quiet.

Quote from rachel1978 on January 30, 2026, 3:55 amHonestly i just stopped apologizing for it. My auntie sat me down and said my body is mine not his obligation. Now i just say no clearly without over explaining. If they get mad that’s on them. Also make sure you’re not just burnt out from kitchen duty all week. Rest is valid. Keep your boundaries firm sis.

Quote from lovepine on June 6, 2025, 8:16 pmugh seriously my husband did the exact same thing last week after we moved to germany. i told him to take a hike because his mum lives three time zones away and i am not her. i cook what i want what happens and if he doesnt like it he can figure it out himself. honestly the constant moving makes me too tired to stress over replicating some random meal his brain is fixated on anyway. just keep doing you.

Quote from Calm1996 on August 5, 2025, 1:30 pmI just bought a good foam roller and use it every night while watching tv. Also switched to walking on the treadmill instead of the sidewalk. The incline helps a lot with my joints. My knees still hurt but its better than before. Taking ibuprofen only when it really hurts.

Quote from Susan1995 on May 8, 2026, 5:59 pmHonestly same here. I train 4 days a week and nothing moves. But honestly started tracking protein strictly. Before I was eating carbs only. Now I make sure every meal has chicken or lentils. Also stopped skipping breakfast. My shaadi diet was full of sugar so body got used to it. Give it 2 months see if changes. Don't stress, happens to many of us here.

Quote from bloomtreaty on May 8, 2026, 5:59 pmOh honey same here lol. Ngl, I tried my first yoga retreat last year and spent half the class waddling around. I just sit on a folded towel now and let it all go. No fancy props needed. My knees click like a geiger counter but at least I get some quiet time to drink tea. Keep going dear.
