same here. i just stare at the ceiling till my eyes hurt. usually its work stuff or wondering if i said something stupid. eventually i get up to drink water and check emails which is stupid but hey. then i feel worse. so i go back to bed. it’s a vicious cycle of overthinking and bad decisions. gonna try nap time tonight instead.

i lift 3x a week and the soreness is basically nonexistent after the first month. my form was terrible at first so i hurt like hell but now i just feel pumped. if you are super sore every time, you are probably doing too much or eating enough protein. also, foam rolling helps more than people admit.

Oye girl, that sounds exhausting tbh. Honestly, If he keeps bringing up his ex, I’m just straight up telling him stop right there. It’s disrespectful to me and weird for him. I’d say either leave the ghost in the past or I’m leaving. Seriously, why are you stuck listening to his drama? He needs to get his act together or find someone else to play therapist. No jokes.

Honestly yeah i cancelled headspace last year. saved the money and just sit on my balcony with my phone in another room. 10 mins of staring at the void works just as well. apps are just a business model targeting anxious professionals. plus the constant notifications reminding you to meditate is ironic at best. keep it simple.

girl dont even sweat it. honestly its just biology doing its job. i used to feel weird about it too but now i just laugh it off. like hey thanks for being excited. it means he wants me. dont let it make you feel pressured or anything, just roll with it. sometimes i tease him about it being too fast lol. just keep it chill.

Honestly yes. I immigrated here ten years ago and still hate treadmills. My wife makes me do 30 mins but I look forward to it like going to dentist. After 20 mins my legs are jelly. Maybe try walking on incline first. Or just walk outside in neighborhood. Less boring anyway. We are all tired from life already dont push too hard.

Yeah totally normal. My husband does the same after work. He just sits on the porch and stares at the trees or works on his truck. I dont bother him. It gives him space to chill so hes not grumpy later. Some guys just need that quiet time to decompress. I get my own time too. We both respect it. It works for us.

I give up on keeping it pristine. Bought heavy plastic bins for all the weights and shoved them under the desk. Now it looks like a storage closet but at least i can actually find things. My divorce was two years ago so i learned to let perfection go pretty quick. Just do what works for you, everyone else is too busy caring about their own mess.

Honestly I just stopped caring about the scale. Omg, At 48 divorce was hard enough, didnt need to add body shaming to the plate. I gym to keep my joints happy and clear my head. If I skip a week, so be it. I walk my dog daily and lift light weights twice a week. Consistency over intensity for me now. Just doing what feels manageable keeps me from burning out.

nah i would just tell her straight up. tell her its not our culture or tradition here. we don't do that kind of stuff in the house. its confusing for my kids too. just say no politely but firmly. dont let her push it. keep the space yours. if she keeps it up ask her to do it at her place or temple. boundary setting is key fam.
