i just accept the mess. when i feel like im crumbling i sit on my porch with cold coffee and watch the wind. no fixing, no journaling, just sitting. sometimes i cry till im bored. then i get up and make breakfast. the shedding happens whether i force it or not. just breathe through the ugliest part and let your body do what it needs to do. its messy but its real.

Lord have mercy. Ngl, We have been there too many times to count. I usually just call my mom at 5am if the fever spikes and she comes over. If she cant make it i call in sick. Boss knows better than to make me choose. Hey we all raise these little ones somehow. Praying it breaks by morning. Yall hang in there.

Honey honestly at 54 i am just so done. Kids are grown and i got my garden to tend to so that clock just stopped for me. My husband thinks im cold but nah im just tired. We watch tv and hold hands most nights and that is perfectly fine. Dont let nobody make you feel bad about needing rest instead of racking the barn. Peace is good too.

hey girl same here. Lol, my doc said everything is fine but i still feel like i got dragged through a rug every morning. just take it easy on yourself. maybe eat some more fish and rest. dont force urself to do too much. we all know how hard it is but ur body needs time. hope u get some rest soon. big hug to u.

Glad you posted that. I sat on my porch for an hour after my last scare just drinking ice water and shaking. Youre not alone in the loss of control. Its messy and ugly. Cry it out. I keep my tissues in every room now. Just breathe through it one minute at a time. We will survive this but it hurts like hell right now.

same here. standing 8 hrs for work made my arches scream. i just swap to orthopedic inserts, not the cheap ones from mall. works way better. also try evening foot soak with epsom salt, helps reduce swelling after long shift. dont push through pain or it turns into plantar fasciitis. trust me, learned the hard way last year.

never had time to be stressed after first kid too. I swear, 3 kids is just chaos but you get used to it. I just keep a big whiteboard in kitchen for daily tasks and let husband handle bedtime sometimes. my brain feels full all the time but honestly its better than before. just survive each day. dont worry about being perfect.

same girl. i swear my treadmill is worse than my ex. i started walking backwards on it just to mess with my brain and its actually working. also watching trash tv while i do it so i dont have to think about the monotony. if you feel like your gonna puke just stop. dont push through it. my knees already hate me enough. also chicago winter makes me wanna never leave the house so this is my compromise.

ugh yes. i got divorced last year and started running to process stuff. after my first 5k i literally sat on the curb gasping like i was having a heart attack. thought i was gonna drop dead. took me weeks to build up stamina im not gonna lie. just drink water and give it time.

lol so true. i code all day then drag my body to lift heavy things. my back is always stiff but i refuse to stop. my husband thinks im crazy but gym keeps my mind clear. sometimes i just go to hit the treadmill and listen to arabic music loud. dont care if it feels rigged. i need the sweat to feel human. we overthink too much as tech workers. just move your body. simple.
